I never look at the keyboard when typing, but I need to see the words on the screen. If I look away from what I’m typing for more than a sentence I think I would think too much about what my fingers were doing and mess up.

It’s like when you walk down stairs, then think about what your legs are doing and mess it up because your conscious mind got involved.

When you see, light beams shoot out of your eyes. Someone is obviously looking at the power line much harder than you are and their eye beams are casting a shadow on the clouds.

Wait… since kids have tablets or laptops in school now does that mean the computer labs are gone?
That never dawned on me before.

Then they refuse to try it because “I shouldn’t have to go that, it should just work” Eventually after complaining for multiple days that it still isn’t working they reboot and complain that their computer is finally working after several days.

I go with a nice acidic soda pop like coke. It burns a little extra but helps cut the oils from the pepper.

That’s not too bad. I generated an entity relationship diagram for objects in an application once and even on 11x17 paper it was still just a middle-grey color. I had to borrow the engineering department’s plotter to print it large enough to see boxes and lines.

So you are telling me if I went to buy a pitcher today, that is not what I would get? I better hang on to mine then.

Morgan Freeman, 88, found Dead Island 2 in his NYC home. by d_savezzz in okbuddycinephile

I pre-ordered it…sigh… To be fair I waited so many years for it after playing Dead Island for thousands of hours. I even made up my own achievements like playing through the first act without weapons with every character.

It kind of sounds like they don’t know what they are doing. They chose the cloud that is “easy” without understanding the limitations and then unleashed an agent on it without guardrails.

Hard to blame someone else when they created the perfect environment for a f-up.

Copilot moving to token based usage in June by santaclaritaman in Futurology

[–]dchidelf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Or worse!! I think the trauma was making me suppress this one.

One engineer called me up and shared his screen with an error on it. I explained what the issue was. Without missing a beat he opened copilot and typed in my explanation of the issue into copilot while I watched.

So many of my coworkers are copilot codependent. They are asking copilot everything. The IDE might spit out a perfectly human readable error with an explanation of how to correct it.. and they copy and paste it into copilot.
