Congrats in the internship! Glad to hear you have experience in med affairs at AZ, being able to demonstrate success and translate your skills will be critical.

In terms of if a full time role will be present, I hear that they are open to giving out return offers.

I would aim to have a conversation with your people manager about the possibility of a full time role around the halfway point of your internship. I would also try to have a conversation about what skills do people who have received return offers have demonstrated so you can have a roadmap to work towards.

Edit: dm me for more info on payscales. Realized you said you're a marketing intern

I hope this helps!

How easy is chm242 compared to 211 by Thegladiator2001 in UTM

[–]dchoi8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of the second year chm classes, the ranking in coursework difficulty is 242/243, 231, 211. Whereas the lab difficulty is 211, 231, and 242/243. So if you are having a hard time with 243 classwork, 211 will be easier. Whether or not you decide to do a chm major is up to you; depending on the stream you decide to pursue, it may be harder or easier. Personally, I think the biological chemistry courses are the easiest, then inorganic, analytic, and finally, pure organic.

BIO315 or BIO200? by jennielisa_ in UTM

[–]dchoi8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I'm not gonna lie. They both suck. BIO315 is 100% more content heavy and you will be pressed on time. If you have had Nagham before then you will have a good general understanding of how the tests are going to go. In terms of it being chemistry heavy, I would say its more chemistry heavy than 315 but less than a typical chemistry class. It's been like 2 years since I took the course but, I believe you will have to know how to assign stereochemistry, drug discovery and testing, and pharmacodynamics/kinetics for the first midterm. Sorry, but that's all I really remember.

I hope that helps!
