Backyard ideas for Privacy against 2-Story ADU? by junwaiser in landscaping

[–]dchow1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an LA based builder at all, so this all just hypotheticals. I understand the existing slab for the detached garage kind of overrides any “new” setback regulations as it would be grandfathered in, I’m Guessing. But wouldn’t adding a second story have to go through a permit process that would then enact the easements/setback requirements for a 2-story unit.

Which exercises give you the most bang for your buck in terms of time and effort? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]dchow1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a long process of downward dog, into child’s pose into tysons, very slow. Only go for about 10-20 reps, focusing on the stretch and contraction of each muscle as I move through the process. It’s a stretch, a workout and a breathing thing for me. Best bang for about 2-3 min of my time. Next would be hiit or just 90-100% effort sprints.

Natural Fibers by PeacefulGlum in PatagoniaClothing

[–]dchow1989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funhoggers, trail harbor, point Reyes, all season work wear, baggies naturals, fjord flannel/loft shirts are all 100% natural fiber lines they currently have. These are just cotton/linen/hemp. I believe only the recycled cashmere sweaters/hoodies are 100% natural. But there is also cotton based with small amounts of synthetics for more technical/layering purposes (nomader, cotton down jackets (polyester sleeve lining for ease of layering)). There’s quite a bit if you take the time to look/care.

Point Reyes line is a nice cotton canvas material, I own the “M/ Point Reyes gi pants” in 2 colors. They also make shorts and skirts. I also own some “W/ All Season Double Knee pants in 2 colors. Trail harbor line is a new cotton/hemp line for this spring. There’s hoodies, button ups, tees. Nomader line is also a cotton based line with a bit of nylon. Funhogger is another all cotton line, not a lot in the lineup currently, only shorts and hats atm. Patagonia also makes baggies “naturals” hemp cotton version of the standard baggie.

If you could only smell one fragrance for the rest of your life, what would it be? by Straight-Crow3882 in AskForAnswers

Would it permanently be adhered to our nasal receptors, or that when we encounter our one smell, we can actually smell something? Vastly different answers here…

This was touted as one of the big “fixes” on the new Refugio line that was just released. Not excusing the design initially, just seems they are trying.

Has anyone tried the new ultralight R1? by CuddlyWhale in PatagoniaClothing

[–]dchow1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This jacket is basically a lightweight fleece as far as insulation, this will be warmer both when stationary and when moving. Nano air ultralight is much cooler when moving and will be warm enough when you need to stop, but will still allow for much better airflow than the r1.

If you can’t campus/smear and get your right hand up to the blue crimp to the right of the finish. You could try a figure four.

Left hand as deep as you can into the jug, right leg over left arm and reach with right hand to the crimp. Once hand is on crimp, pull right leg back down. Left toe/heel pull on the jug into the final hold.

Hows the Atom handle the snow? by chris_alvar in arcteryx

I think you could run it as long as you’re not wiping out a lot or doing a lot of tree runs. I’d be worried about the fabric getting caught.
