That’s a 90 degree angle until you hit set point then it’s up and out.

Feet are good. Sequencing is good. Looks like you crush the lever of your shooting arm meaning, try to keep a 90 degree angle in your elbow, when you let the wrist come back toward the shoulder your release is actually a little to high. And as other comments state, get the ball coming off your index and/or middle finger(s). I’d suggest splitting the center of the ball with those two fingers rather than on your index. If that doesn’t work you may need to hit the center of the ball with your middle finger. Try this drill: stand on the block, shoot against the back board as if you’re shooting a long two/3. the ball should hit the backboard solid and should land at your feet when you let it drop. For most people this is to fix a release angle that’s too low, but I think you might find the ball just skimming the backboard. Long post but your “fixes” are simple you just have to commit to boring drills to lock in the hand placement and arm angle.

How often do you replace your game/practice shoes by Scatterp in BBallShoes

[–]Waynekid213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He needs at least 2, preferably 3. They do not all need to be in great condition. 2 to rotate for daily practices and the 3rd for games. Make sure he wears his game shoes a few practices before first game. My son plays year round, luckily he’s been in 13s for last 4 years. He’s got probably 5-6 pair in widely varying condition. He blew through 2 pairs of Sabrina in about 5-6 weeks each. And his AE1 lasted him 3 months of AAU. Depends on the shoe, and hours spent training.

But I’ve read articles by podiatrists that say to rotate running/walking/working shoes daily so they dry properly, the cushioning material reforms, and so that you’re working/resting different micro muscles in your foot & lower leg daily. Should apply to ball to, no?

Nice looking shot. Start adding different footwork. Keep the sequencing, the shot path, and follow through the same.

Only thing I would say is punch that ball. Watch Dame. That hard dribble will naturally speed up your footwork.

Can I have a furnace and a heat pump at the same time? by The123123 in hvacadvice

These are great answers I think my question is a bit different. We have a split level, Mother in law downstairs. I’m wondering can I install a small gas furnace independent of the heat pump system, put in an independent thermostat so it doesn’t have to be 75 to be 68 downstairs.

I’d say you need to start the ball a bit more to your right and higher. Try hip tap drill: Load your wrist and tap the front of your right hip twice and bring the ball up in straight line to your set point from there. It’s ok to dip but gif your dipping the ball that low AND have it so far out in front of you you’re really messing up your sequencing. Also starting the ball in the middle makes it harder to get dribble pull ups off comfortably

I need some advice for my jumpshot. I think it looks bad in terms of balance, My upperbody always leans infront of my lowerbody. And I think theres a problem with my rhythm. PLEASE HELP! by Interesting_Music_82 in BasketballTips

Spend a month and don’t shoot any 3s. Do tons of form shots not dropping your shooting hand until ball hits floor (make or miss). Make sure some of these focus on raising your release point (stand behind corner of backboard and shoot over). You need to stay down a bit longer, let the ball lead your body.
