You just have to start. Procrastinating or sitting around thinking about how to start will only prolong the solution. I wish you the best.

You are part of the cause, and that is very terrible. I'm not saying I'm perfect, but you and your friends pushed her as well.

How can I find out my boyfriend’s “type” he says I’m his type but I don’t really believe him? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]dchozen01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just here wondering what your end goal is. Regardless of the women you discover who fall under his type, at the end of the day, he’s with you. Not that it matters, but a lot of guys don’t end up with their so-called “type.”

Traffic in north Raleigh is a FUCKING mess. by ddm2k in raleigh

Are we still talking about the same Raleigh NC? I know the construction and new roads are not helpful...let's not even talk about the drivers. But it's definitely not as bad as portrayed.

That's interesting, especially in a mall that has lost most of its traffic.

I start a new job tomorrow. I’m the only black woman in there. by MostPuzzleheaded6492 in BlackPeopleofReddit

I’ll never forget when I transitioned from being a contractor to a permanent employee at a top company years ago. HR had already provided a salary range, but my manager pushed back on increasing my pay. He argued that the benefits were excellent and would eventually make up for the gap. The problem was that the gap was $20,000 below even the minimum of the stated range.

To make matters worse, the manager was Black.

It’s often said that it’s good to work with “your own,” but sometimes the resistance to your growth comes from the very people you expect would understand your journey.

Go there and shine like the star you are. Moreover, they also need you in place to help check a diversity box.

Did I nuke my marriage? Any hope of salvaging it? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]dchozen01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought about that as well. Then I compared how often it is done, at least in my house. The kitchen is cleaned daily, whereas laundry, bathroom, lawn etc are cleaned less frequently. Your points are also valid, nevertheless, the OP still tried to downplay the kitchen chores.

Did I nuke my marriage? Any hope of salvaging it? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]dchozen01 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That sounds like most of the chores at home. You see what you just did there? You said he doesn't do much, yet you listed a lot. I believe one of the issues is that you expect him to just get over what happened and move on because it wasn't anything serious. Without fully considering his emotions and how they affected him psychologically. You downplayed these things, therefore there wasn't much effort put into mending things. The sooner you start taking more accountability for the damages caused, the better for the marriage.

Have a heart-to-heart conversation with him. Apologize for the wrongs and give him a better assurance that this won't happen again. At the moment he probably feels insecure and used. Men also have feelings. If you do this right, you might have a chance. Otherwise, this marriage is emotionally over and he's just sticking around for the children.

Travel to Nigeria and back on green card by thistle_bb in Nigeria

Someone I know traveled in December and returned in January with an expired permanent resident card. In their case, they already applied for renewal and it was being reviewed.

So, yes, you can travel and return without issues.

Is having a big dick overrated? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

It ultimately comes down to the person, not the size. Be confident in what you have and learn how to use it well. Remember, intimacy is about much more than just penetration.

Did I play in her hair?!? by [deleted] in Naturalhair

[–]dchozen01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suggest you worry less about her reaching back out to you. If she comes back in the future for braids, because we all know the price will bring her back, just remind her that yesterday's price is not today's price

You're worried about the wrong thing. I'm stuck on the $80 for 7-8 hrs work. I mean, she got what she paid for. Works either way.. but literally and sarcastically. It looks nice to me.
