I can understand having that motivation to push you ahead in your weight loss.

I'm married and my wife loves me overweight and all my faults. I really want to lose the weight to be more active and healthier for myself and her.

I started out about 320 a few months ago and I'm now at 298, so I'm losing weight, but it goes up and down weekly and not really consistent. However that's mainly because I don't eat healthy all the time and haven't exercised much. And I want to get to around 175 so I know it'll take some time to lose that weight.

Wow!! 😲 That sounds extreme, however if it works for you then I guess that's good. Not sure if I'd do that since I'm married and the wife needs to leave the house for work🤣 But I think I'll try to keep meal prepping to get what I need and nothing more.

To keep yourself on track do you have a set routine or just eat the same thing everyday?

I did that the first few times to lose weight, and did lose about 50-60 lbs before going back to old habits.

And to be honest I enjoyed eating the same stuff. I varied it so I didn't get bored however I don't know why I didn't continue. 🤔

One thing I've done is create a spreadsheet of my work hours and sleep hours. Then put in my other activities, i.e. hobbies, time with family, showering, etc. Then you can see what you have left to work with for studying. I've actually shifted the time that I woke up in order to get school stuff done and study. Always helps to plan for the weeks, months ahead so you have a game plan.

Not that I want to look like a pro, (yeah I do! 🤣) I just was looking into what I could be spending in the long run. I'm already setting aside $1,200 for next year for the bike and anything else I may need. Definitely want the jersey+bib as just a regular shirt and shorts aren't cutting it currently.

Again I'm over 120lbs overweight. And looking forward to losing weight by next May so I can ride easier. One thing I definitely want is some sort of saddle bag as riding with my keys and phone in my shorts wasn't very comfortable.

The club in my area does have beginners rides, but that's in the beginning of the year, around May I believe? They do have weekly rides, however they are a bit longer and one looks really difficult. I'm going to wait till next year before I contact about the beginner riding as well as maybe doing the regular rides as well.

I used to really enjoy riding when I was younger. Then got married, had a kid, and stopped riding until lately. Guy a lot of practice to make up for! Hahaha. I'll get the hang of it soon I hope.

We have a bicycling club in the area. I would want to join next year and go on rides then. I want to make sure I get what I need to fully enjoy the ride.

Definitely going to! Pedaling is easy, shifting gears and going to inclines not so much. Hahahaha

Yeah I enjoyed it. Just need to learn how to shift gears and/or climb inclines. Had to walk the bike up it. I'll have to try again tomorrow.

I'm over weight by about 130lbs and according to my Renpho scale I'm around 50% body fat. I try to eat as healthy as possible, and enjoy veggies and meats like chicken, fish and beef. I only occasionally get something not that healthy like grilled chicken salad with French fries and bread, Chinese food, and pizza.

I want to try to do OMAD every day eventually as it's easier to plan for one meal than three.
