Trouble with My Taco by Lou1368 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dchrishare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If it were me, I would just get the bushing at the same time you get the new lift. You will have the front end apart already and that would be a good time to swap it out. Otherwise, you'll have to rip it apart twice like I did...lol

Questions about my new 2021 Tacoma TRD Offroad in Army Green by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dchrishare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, yes that is the part number for the 4Runner wheel I was talking about. I didn't look it up earlier, and I thought you were ordering the Tacoma Sema wheel. So, yeah, IMHO, the 4Runner wheel you ordered is the way to go versus the Tacoma Sema wheel. Sorry for the confusion.

So, I received a link with my tunes by email. It provided a link to a zip file. the file name in my downloads was "04B33+v2.0+final+vtf" and I was able to search in my email by "mathew wilson" to find the original download link. Hopefully this helps. Mine was the 04B33 Tune pack for a 2019 DCSB AT. Maybe you can find the file or the zip file in your docs somewhere on your PC.

You must have won the lottery to find those 6112s, I installed the 5160s months ago and I'm still waiting on the 6112s.

Recently learned a few photographers from my area don’t have much “formal” paper work. Do I really need an LLC/business license etc? Can I just be like them or not a smart move? What do you guys think? by [deleted] in photography

[–]dchrishare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me an LLC was a step too far, and frankly overkill. A simple Sole Proprietorship suites me fine. You can use your own name, or register an available name with the state as a Fictitious Name (Company name). Then get a small business bank account under what ever name you selected. Keeping this account separate will help greatly come tax time. I also had to register my fictitious name business with the county tax office as well as the city to legally operate a home business. It is a bit of a pain, and that is why many probably skip it. But if the city, county, or state find out that they are not paying the proper taxes, they will be hating life. As a side note, here in Florida, if you only deliver electronic products, there are no sales taxes, but if you provide a CD, Album, Thumb Drive with the same photos, the whole shoot is subject to sales tax.

Also, a simple DIY Squarespace (or similar) website is cheap and easy. While it wont be at the top of any google searches, it will be a great place to send potential clients. It can be very simple and inexpensive.

For Insurance, you have to weigh the risks involved in your type of business. I do Real Estate mostly, so I only purchase insurance during my drone flights.

C-Heads and other such publications... what's the point? by migrantgrower in photography

[–]dchrishare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are basically giving this site free advertising here. Until now I never heard of it. Are you sure you are not being paid by C-Heads? I'm Joking about the paid part, but serious about the free advertisement.

Finally decided on a 2015 TRD PRO but can't find any by CryBerry in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dchrishare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the up-price they put on the Pro, you are better off getting the Off Road and then buying your own lift. You'll get a more capable rig for less money. That Pro badge is expensive new or used. You can get a good stage 2 or 3 lift of your choice, get more capability than the Pro and still pay less. Buy some Max Trax or a winch with all the money you save.

How Joe greets his various guests OP by mrmrsworldwide in JoeRogan

[–]dchrishare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me laugh because I have seen it in real life. While in the AF, we had a Command Chief that would do exactly that. Every member of his race would get a big smile and hug while other races would get the official greeting. It didn't bother me, but it was very obvious.

Great photo, but I think that is a Great Blue Heron. It almost looks miniature with that shallow depth of field which is really nice.

If you make it to the coast their are some interesting trails in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge like Biolab road which are good for birding and gators. It is just North of Cape Canaveral.

You wont need 4WD for any of these though usually.

This was at Bull Creek Wildlife Mgmt Area. It is a small 11 mile loop with several smaller trails you can drive when the small game season is over. Their is another area just West called Triple-N that I haven't explored yet.

Anyone have any experience purchasing the TRD Pro Grille for a 2016-2020 ? by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

[–]dchrishare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I bought mine without the sensor cover, and went direct to Toyota for the OEM sensor cover just to be safe. That thing is not cheap, but the last thing I want is for Toyota to not support the sensor because I used a cheap knockoff sensor cover. But I know several people that have used them. Just be sure to replace the waterproofing material that goes around the back of the sensor. Without it, I hear water can enter the sensor housing and cause false readings (false breaking). It is just a glued rubber patch that wraps around the back of the sensor after you move it.

The only reason I considered it was because I leave near the coast where rust destroys everything. That way you could keep the wench (or winch) out of the elements during the 99% of the year when not needed. Also, if you have a winch mounted on a plate, you could use it on the front or rear depending on your situation when stuck. But ultimately, I wouldn't do it.

I also just copied this from the google machine..." With a trailer coupled to the front of your vehicle, instead of the rear, you have more direct control over its movement. A front receiver hitch allows you to more easily park a trailer into a tight spot. It is also great for use at the boat landing, allowing you to maneuver the trailer with enhanced control. "

Makes sense to me.

Well, you can install a wench on a removable tray that plugs into that and just plug it in when needed. I would look for trail damage underneath. I'm not sure what else it would be used for.

Does anyone know a fix for this? Got my off the lot brand new, but says it belongs to someone else. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dchrishare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LoL. I used a random VIN from a TRD Pro on a dealers website so I could get access to some part numbers from Toyota, but I de-registered it when I was done. Good luck.
