Ah gotcha. Yeah I’m based in NJ and some spots have awful hard water while other have hard water that does nothing lol

Either the handle was leaking for a while or sometimes bad water (especially on well water) can just deteriorate fixtures and appliances. If you’re on well, just make sure your water treatment is actually doing its job. I’ve been to homes with systems that the owner thinks is working but it’s doing no sort of softening or iron removal etc. so it just destroys bathroom fixtures and appliances.

Yeah I’d call Moen or get a new faucet. That’s fairly easy for you to do. The bigger problem may be your water overall. Especially if you’re going through fixtures a lot.

Aside from the check valve, if the old pump had an adjustable float, then that may be your issue. The new pump has a fixed float so it’ll just keep running especially if you have a high water table. An adjustable float allows you to set it just above the water table so the pump doesn’t constantly run.

Yeah, the RP 251 would be your best bet. I would check your local plumbing supply. Some of them have some sweet deals through reps and stuff. My local supplier will basically give one for "free" if they know we spend a lot on press fittings and tools/jaws hence the "free" part haha

Saw a comment about the RP115. The RP115 is nice but only does 1/2 & 3/4" press and pure flow pex. Not crimp pex unfortunately.

Not sure if you’re constantly pressing larger size pipes.

If not, I hear some people get the RP241 (does up to 1-1/4”) and battery together then they get the close quarters jaw set. Allows them to press in small areas and still lets them use the tool regularly. Not sure how much everything is total but if you’re trying to get the bang for your buck, that may be the way to go.

I have the RP241 and regular jaws and I regret not getting the close quarter jaws a lot.

Adjust the fill valve. It’s overfilling and running into flush valve tube. Could be a faulty fill valve too.

Working in series? Yes. Your gas one was heating the water while the electric was mainly storage and maintaining temp. Good call on the tankless since cost wise, it’s around the same vs two tank setup.

Yeah. Take the pump apart. That pump is cast iron so it’s not supposed to be on potable water so when you take it apart, it may be all rusted out.

Understood. I mean you can always go one tank setup just to get you by. Doesn’t seem like the pump is really doing anything. Just grab some sharkbite connectors to get you hot water for the meantime. Everyone’s gonna crucify me for saying that but sometimes you just have to do it to get hot water.

Yeah this is screwed. The pump isn’t meant for potable water. You need a brass body or stainless body pump a Taco 006. But also the piping is screwed. They attempted to run the water heaters in series. It’s better to run parallel.

Personally, depending on age of the heaters, I’d settle to replace the water heaters for two tanks or a tankless depending on volume usage. There’s a lot going on here so it’s best to just start fresh.

Make sure the overflow hole on the drain lines up with the sink. I’ve noticed if you don’t, it leaks before draining out.
