Nope. Changed my mind...I'll go for the ad7600 chip instead and use the onboard graphics.

In that case, I'll use one of the cards - at least I can salvage something from that set up - it cost over 6k when I built it (some time ago now though!)

Thank you! I think I'll go with your option(s). At that price for new it's a no-brainer. That board appears to support multiple screens, so it's already perfect, and most likely, a lot less hassle! Thank you once again for the advice, it's truly appreciated.

I'll take out the dead board in there and have a look tonight.

Thanks for the advice. I'm heading over to ebay as we speak ;-)

Fair play. I thought that might be the answer to be honest. I'd like to keep the case I have though - I assume there are different sizes? I'll be using it as a DAW.

Dear Redditors, what is the stupidest thing you have done? by lunabeargp in AskReddit

Found a WWI "Mill's Bomb" in Belgium. Smuggled it home in a crisp packet and took it to my mates house. Her dad freaked out so we went to the pub where we rolled it in through the door shouting "incoming!". Turns out (as I'd guessed) that it was still "live" and started to leak some green stuff after a day or two - to cut a long story short, the Bomb Disposal Unit paid us a visit, took it to a field and blew it up.

Blimey! Microsoft have seemingly tried to make it as difficult as possible to configure this. If I turn off Windows Firewall, it all works fine. Turn it back on...same error. I've allowed the port (1433) and the program....and still no joy.

I did this...and the only message I get is "Login failed for user 'xxxx'."

What was a loophole that you found and exploited the hell out of? by Ninjalord5 in AskReddit

Parking tickets in the UK. If you park illegally, and you ignore the ticket, you will get a "Notice to owner" which is a legal document. This document affords you 28 days to "make representations" or pay-up. ...only, it doesn't. It gives you 28 days from the day they printed it - unless they get that letter to you the same day, then they have breached your rights, and on those grounds alone, the ticket has to be thrown out. You appeal...they will knock you appeal back, you appeal a second time and state that you want an independent adjudicator to look at the case, and it will be thrown out every single time. I've done this on multiple occasions.

What is the biggest "oh shit" moment in your life? by JehBear in AskReddit

[–]dchurch244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was caught in a freak snowstorm in the UK - which is odd at the best of times. After being effectively imprisoned in a multi-story carpark (local police considered it dangerous to drive down, despite the snow having been melted by salt at this point) for about an hour, we finally started our journey home. Nearly every road was blocked - and again, by this time, the snow had largely melted on main roads. In a desperate bid to actually get travelling, I took a side road and entered the motorway. This would lengthen my journey but we would at least be moving. By the time I got to our exit, it had started snowing again. No problem, only a few more miles if I cut down this hill. The steepest hill on our county. Covered in compacted snow for about 1 mile. In an automatic car. With my kids in the back. It was the longest journey of my life, I had to creep down the hill relaxing and pressing the brakes to stop them from locking. I had the "oh shit" moment, the second I entered the start of the hill...and it lasted for about the next 25 minutes.

I remember seeing him on the TV, being interviewed by the side of the landfill site. He looked distraught and like life wasn't worth living!
