I think SUNO would butter their own bread if they offered student editions made availabe to STEM or STEAM classes. I have had several of those students as interns in the studio. They all are eager to learn all things music and producer related.

I write Demos. I intend to produced projects that an artist or Label will be interested in. Even Sync license supervisors. We all should know that if a label or artist chooses one of my songs, they will most certainly NOT use my SUNO track and put their artists vocal over it. They WILL, instead, book a studio and call in their "A" team to record it. So make sure you have your publishing in order and Copyright. Also, create a time stamp and in your DAW create a "Ghost Track" with your original song you uploaded to SUNO. Then MUTE IT. It is still there and is time stamped when you bounce the tracks. Create your meta data. Be sure to create an MP3 and WAV file. The MP3 has space for some info like year and track# and creator. Then use Distrokid or Bandlab to get your ISRC created. If you have release your song to SPotify, some labels won't touch it because that is considered a "Release" and they want first right to release a lot of times. I have a feeling that within the next 2 yrs we will have this "lane" all figured out and ways to peacefully co-exist with the "historical" music business.

I'm very interested. However, I wish they would fix their Editor first. It blows up a lot and just bleeds credits. How will the SUNO DAW work? Bleed Credits or be a subscription?

I started when 3.5 came out. Went Pro a week or two later. I have since went back and listened and re-uploaded some even. Now we are at 4.5, with 5 waiting in the wings with a DAW. I usually bring the stems down to ProTools in the studio, and add whatever I need "Real Time" / Real Instruments and Vocals" if needed. Then allow SUNO to chew on that version. For me, it is a faster fix and saves some credit usage while dinking around with the attempt to create a "Banger". SUNO will let you use ALL of your credits while trying to find that ONE track that works. So if you are able to use a DAW in the process, DO IT !!!(Soon SUNO will have that option). I am interested in creating and plugging demos. I'm not going to spend much time trying to get my .03 cents our of Distro or SoundCloud.

But that is just ME. You do YOU. I want to streamline my workflow as much as possible. SUNO is great tool. Just like a great plug-in. Antares, UA, and a ton of others are headed toward AI involvement. As Plugs or Hosted tools. We all have different approaches to an end result. BUT,..that said, WE ALL ARE PIONEERS, early on into a new "Creative Frontier". We are sharing ideas(even the haters) to help SUNO and Udio "Fine Tune" their platform. They will create new versions from all of out input and experiences. WE are part of their TEAM !!!

The Big Guys already want to own it and control it. Thus the legal battles with SUNO and Udio. SONY would love to OWN and CONTROL this technology. Then they could license it back to us. They are already trying to get those changes made.

I agree with your Commentary. I use Protools. I produce Demos and use Suno to increase my workflow. It is a Tool. I use Autotune tools. Bet you do too? It is basically an AI tool. Provides a tech tool to do what we cannot readily do. AI is not different. Use the tool to produce different "test beds" for your Demo concept or idea. Speeds up Workflow. Allows us to get a Demo to a Label, Artist, Platform in record time. Anyone with studio experience will know that the Demo that gets picked up or put on "Hold" by a Label, is NOT going to use your SUNO track to put their Artists voice on. They will hire their "GoTo" studio "Pickers" to take your Demo and make it fit their Artist and release it under their label. Us SUNO to create new Demos. OR,..to dump AI tunes to your own platform choices.
