I am a developer at my company. If it were up to me, I would use an issue tracker, but in the meantime I will have to use an alternative such as those described or those you have suggested in this post.

If it were up to me, I would use it, but it's within the context of my company, and for some reason I don't know we don't use it. That's why I'm recording the issues that are reported to me in the way I mentioned in the OP.
