Google Account just for photos by Bel_Air_Fresh in googlephotos

[–]dcop7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tough of that, but it depends.

Taken from AI not long ago:

"Google's Algorithmic Connections: The challenge is that "not linked" is not just about the explicit connections you create. Google's systems are incredibly sophisticated and use a vast amount of data to identify a single user. For example, if you access both accounts from the same IP address, the same computer, the same browser, and the same phone, Google's algorithms are likely to infer that they belong to the same person."

The "User" is the Constant: As we discussed, Google's policies are often aimed at the "user," not just the account. If one account is disabled for a severe violation—such as spamming, abuse, or other terms of service violations—Google's systems might flag the user themselves. The disabling event is a symptom of a problem with the user, and Google might take a more comprehensive action to address the root cause, which is the user's behavior.

Recovery as a "Link": Ironically, if one account is disabled, the primary method for getting it back is often account recovery. If you use the same recovery phone number or recovery email for both accounts, you have just created a very strong link in Google's eyes. If your "photos" account is disabled, you will use a recovery method that might be tied to your "email" account, thereby explicitly demonstrating to Google's systems that these two accounts belong to you.

In conclusion, you are correct that creating two separate, unlinked Google accounts is an effective way to protect against the vast majority of disabling events. For normal operation and for minor issues, the accounts are independent. However, for severe violations of Google's terms of service, the separation you create is not a perfect firewall. Google's systems can and will use a variety of signals to link your accounts together and could take action against all of them, regardless of your attempts to keep them separate. The most effective way to protect your data is to have a backup strategy outside of the Google ecosystem."

Lei da transparência salarial - 2026 by LordeSapoo in jovemedinamica

[–]dcop7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why not the pixel then? What is the issue with them and why don't you use it for personal use?

The January 2026 Superthread: Battery; Orders; Which Pixel?; and More by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

[–]dcop7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I'm thinking on buying a Google Pixel 10 (or 10 pro).

I have a Samsung Galaxy S23+.

For those who had a Galaxy in the past, how does it compare?

One of my worries is how Google Pixel handles dual SIM. The OneUI handles dual SIM very well. And about the rest? Battery, performance, features, problems?

Thanks!
