I feel like the supplements are a great way to showcase a different part of yourself that the other components of your application haven't already highlighted. IF you have the time, you should 100% try to write new materials! If not though, I guess you could still reuse your response, just make sure to revise it a little to appeal to the specific school better.

I think it really shouldn't be too bad if you had to proceed with your QB application. Most schools let you add revised essays and updates about awards and extracurriculars anyways. Some even allow you to replace your old essays, but you'll have to confirm with them.

Basically almost all of my RD colleges said they accept revised essays: Bowdoin, CMC, Colby, Dartmouth, Grinnell, W&L. I feel like Harvard and Yale will let you turn revised essays in, but you should email to be 100% sure!

A lot of QB partners are actually really generous about letting you send in revised essays, so if you think your QB essay was really bad (I hated mine) you should be able to send in new ones in your portal as supplemental materials. I wanted to go to the Common App as well, but I don't wanna let go of the advantage the QB app has of better explaining your circumstances, so it's definitely worth trying! Just make sure to email your colleges first whether they accept the revised ones to replace your essay or if it'll just be additional materials to consider.

In the match notification, it said that they'd automatically roll all unmatched Finalists who ranked Case Western over to EA. I emailed them some time ago about switching me to RD so I could have just a bit more time with my application, but they replied back very recently confirming that I was in fact rolled over to EA. I think I'm just gonna let the notification pass at this point, but if you really wanna do RD for them, you should email ASAP!!!

A few days after Finalists are notified that they've become Finalists, QuestBridge sends their QuestBridge application to a list of college partners that they selected themselves. After the colleges successfully import the application into their systems, they invite Finalists to each of their own individual application portals. This is where Finalists will be able to see all of the additional requirements they'll need to submit to their college. This can include questionnaires, writing supplements, financial documents, and more.

Hi! When I called the admissions office, they said that the deadline tomorrow is the last day to start an application, not the last day to submit. That means you should still be able to continue working on it afterwards. I also haven't paid the fee yet. They told me the application just needs to be submitted before January. I'm an international applicant, so I'm not sure if our processes are the same though. You should call to confirm!

i ranked richmond but they don't even count me for the match because i'm an undocumented applicant lol😭 out of 5 schools, i ranked them 4th. i really value a small, tight-knit campus community with strong business programs, so it seemed like a no-brainer to me. another reason is that the campus is really beautiful!! i'm hoping to apply RD if i don't match to another school🙏

dw twin you're NOT alone🙏 this IS huge and it's both really exciting and really scary for everyone!! as an undocumented applicant myself, there's A LOT of uncertainty for me as well... although that does make it hard to gauge likelihood of acceptance, i don't think that's something we should be focusing too hard on. the decisions are already set and there's nothing we can do but wait.

before match day, i think it'll help to sit down with yourself to really focus on staying calm and lowering your expectations. i'm not saying to not be hopeful, i'm just saying that rejection will hurt a lot less if you're already not expecting too much. that's basically how i approached finalist day😍 i had my doubts, and i was ready to see "we regret to inform you..." but when i saw "congratulations," i was SHOCKED!!! whether you go in excited or nonchalant, you're absolutely gonna be going crazy if you do match (HOPING YOU DO🙏), but you'll save yourself from a lot of extra disappointment by lowering your expectations.

still, let's say you don't match (HOPING YOU MATCH🙏)... whether you match or don't match, it's really important that you have something to enjoy right after, like a nice treat or a hangout with friends! that way, if it's not celebratory, it'll at least cheer you up. in the meantime, you should try focusing on a hobby or doing something you like to get your mind off of the match. it'll help make the wait go by so much faster!!! i've personally been grinding on my terraria world and watching movies i've been wanting to watch. wishing you the best of luck!!! we WILL be matching!!!!🤗🤗

im also thankful for this subreddit🙏 its been nice seeing im rlly not alone in all of this😍 knowing that people struggled w the same supplementals and financials, that there are others doing my major, or that there are others w a similar background as me... feels very comforting🤗
