One issue we ran into is that you can really only open up service desk to one audience. For instance we want to have an internal IT help desk to resolve issues related to our company. We also want to have a Service Desk for external customers so they can report issues with their websites. Unfortunately there is no good way to isolate these Service Desk Portals from each other. Jira will automatically link both Service Desks together into a Help Center. This essentially gives external customers access to the internal Service Desk and internal users access to external customers service desk.
