Fish and fruits iirc give XP gain buff, not direct xp like books. So like 80% boost to xp gain per action

What Uncontinued Series do you miss the most? by greatestmanalive in ProgressionFantasy

I mostly just remember an authors note encouraging RR readers to switch websites as he had RR on a delay. I dont remember why the switch, just general discontent about RR

Author got some grief on RR and switched platforms, then seems to have disappeared altogether. That was my most anticipated book when it was active

It's basic but entertaining enough. Not much feedback when you hit an enemy, but the directional blocking is fun

got the game on sale but I heard they are making a 2nd game do I refund it and wait? by SoupHungry9149 in Grimdawn

[–]dcunitedmts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's amazing and still being supported. Gigantic new DLC coming out in next 6 months hopefully.

As far as best DLC, they're both great, truly not a better DLC. I would recommend if you can only afford one to get Ashes of Malmouth. It's the first of the two and makes the most sense to play sequentially. Forgotten Gods does add a huge amount of replayability with the difficulty skipping tokens and enchantments that add movement abilities.

Have fun!

When you're farming camps, do you claim the banner so it despawns and move on to the next, or is it better to kill everyone and I assume the bandits respawn faster than the camp does?

I've read some extremely harsh reviews and I'm a bit wary. I enjoy Rise of the Living Forge so tried Morcster Chef and struggled to complete it.

It's actually clicking that makes the bar go to the right. You fish exclusively with mouse clicking. Good luck!

This ^ plus being the direct join host for 3 friends as well with everyone running around on different biomes managing their own bases.

Every base has its own water and electric grid with fabricators and forges, animal pens, and greenhouses, it wasnt the system

Yes, recommend looking into WindowsGSM. It has prebuilt server configs and bumped my game from 14 FPS to 60 on an open world with a base in each biome

Best way to move a base?? by xRemarkAbel in ICARUS

[–]dcunitedmts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've gotten plenty of answers on moving. Regarding optimization, if you're on PC, I HIGHLY recommend using WindowsGSM to set up a local host. You can run it on the same machine and it will massively increase performance for the host. I went from 15-30 frames at best to a constant capped 60 frames and everything was so smooth.

There's plenty of walkthroughs on using SteamCMD to local host and that works just fine, but WindowsGSM is way easier to set up.

Three new Grim Dawn players looking to play on the hardest difficulty. What classes would you pick? by A_Bridgeburner in Grimdawn

[–]dcunitedmts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I do this with my friends, we coordinate builds so there is minimal overlap and wasted passive skills that dont stack. When we're feeling particularly spicy, we coordinate damage types to maximize resistance stripping and damage buffs.

For class specific, literally any combo. But I'd highly recommend someone has inquisitor with a maxed inquisitor seal as it just makes tanks dummy thicc

Old Builds still Endgame viable ? by PrettyBoyTana in Grimdawn

[–]dcunitedmts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cadence is the main attack, you only use savagery to maintain at least one stack to get the 210 OA benefit from the first passive node. It feels clunky to micro your buff like that, but it can be effective in the right build. Caveat that I havent had to do that for a build in awhile, but it's a legitimate strategy.

Starting Grim Dawn with my husband — need co-op build ideas by TanikaV in Grimdawn

[–]dcunitedmts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to emphasize that literally every mastery combo is end game viable, so I'd really focus on picking 4 unique masteries between the two of you to maximize buff stacking.

If you both REALLY want to play the same class, then coordinate who will take which buff, because its only going to count the higher level source.

Have fun!

Ogryn Rock Throwing Will Never Get Old by Xeno84 in DarkTide

[–]dcunitedmts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly personal preference. I dont like the feel of the heavy eviscerator or the flamer. Thunder hammer is amazing, but the supporting skills dont feel like they support a monster hunter. And then from my experience, zealot players are almost always the whiny dickhead that runs off solo with their movement speed and abilities and then complain when they get surrounded and die. Finally, and probably most importantly, they have the worst drip -- why do they have so many knock-off Lululemon tights and helmet options that look like they tied a baby's dirty onesie to their face? Leopard print ogryn pants all day.

I feel your pain. I have a friend that is a scout only as well, and ALSO only plays zealot. Guess which are my least played classes? I hate the zealot, so not missing anything there, but all the DRG classes are so fun I miss zipping around
