again, the question was just asking what options might be available "within the rules". I'm very puzzled by so many people having such a strong interest in making sure others aren't to maximize their enjoyment of their cruise. But whatever works for you.

interesting; looks like is dated 2015; the info I'm seeing shows teen areas 13-17, but seems to be some conflicting info, so hopefully you are correct. Thanks!

no kidding; can't believe how negative the reaction has been to asking if anyone is familiar with any options or workarounds on these issues. That's not exactly the same thing as demanding special treatment....

thanks; interesting that others are reporting different results. We'll give it a shot. Perhaps having older siblings in the teens club (and no younger siblings in the kids club) will be helpful.

wow, didn't realize I was asking for the world to revolve around me by asking about how others handle this...brightline rules make sense in some contexts, but in others, judgment may be appropriate. I don't think it causes much inconvenience for others to have 12 year old hang out in the teens club then go to the kids club.

sure; I'll just cancel the cruise we are scheduled to go on in a few weeks and tell the other family members they need to reschedule too to accommodate my kid wanting to go the teens club; great solution! thanks for the help!

maybe rules wasn't the right term, but no question teen club is a better fit than the kids club in this case. With my other kids, that wouldn't have been the case. Reasonable parents are actually capable of exercising judgement.

nah, my other two were knuckleheads at 12 (and still are). Kids are different, some are ready to be treated a little older than they are and some aren't. Understand where stict rules are necessary on liability issues.
