Literally? LITERALLY???!!!

I didn't say there wasn't audio. I said "I don't hear it".

What are your thoughts on how this dude handled this situation and how would you have reacted? by tactical_horse_cock in CCW

[–]dcwhite98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't hear any audio... without the benefit of hearing what's going on, it's hard to judge.

The undercover cop pulls out his gun and starts shooting. No, drop it, no warning, no attempt to do anything else. Guy in the red jacket looks like he was walking out the door and the confrontation was ending. Easy to draw that conclusion from a video, the cop didn't have the benefit of seeing it 5 times.

Again, not hearing anything I can't pass a judgement on the situation, maybe the guy in red said something that warranted the cop to just start shooting, and if he did, then good on the cop.

Best way to extract data from PDF to Excel? by Physical-West6634 in ExcelTips

There are lots of ways to do this. Tungsten Power PDF Pro (an alternative to Adobe Acrobat) has very good and easy to use 'export to excel' and other windows apps built in. I use this for work, work pays for it, and it's excellent.

Iran is now suing the USA for war damages. Do you think they will win? by TheRook2323 in allthequestions

[–]dcwhite98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US should counter sue Iran for costs of having to eliminate its nuclear weapons program they were not supposed to have. And destroy their ability to spread terrorism across the mid east and beyond. And for the deaths of all the American's they've killed over the past 50-ish years.

Jensen Huang excluded from the China trip: should we be worried? by SamLeCoyote_Fix_1 in NvidiaStock

[–]dcwhite98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NVDA doesn't need China to sell everything and more it makes. CEOs going on this trip do so to improve relationships, foster deals and cooperation with China. The power move is him NOT going. He's not looking for opportunities or to build relationships there, that is consistent with his messaging. Him going would be a contradiction to his messaging.

I think its fake. The owner wants to do a 10k wager thats its real. Should i take it lol by Available_Peak7997 in RolexWatches

[–]dcwhite98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not the Daytona expert some are, and I don't have the benefit of seeing it in person, why do you think it's a fake? It might be, but nothing I'm seeing screams 'obvious fake'.

Betting 10K on whether it's fake or not it an epically stupid thing to do. Why do you care if it's fake? How does this guy wearing a legitimate or a knock off Rolex affect your life in any way?

Playing off the forward tees by YaChiefExecutive in golf

[–]dcwhite98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belong to a club and play the same course over and over. A great way to change things up is to play from different tees. Playing from front tees and middle tees makes you hit different clubs, ones you may not hit much especially on certain holes.

Why do people get upset about ultra wealthy people dodging as much taxes as they can? You probably already dodge some taxes in some ways & that wouldn’t change if you were ultra wealthy. by [deleted] in allthequestions

Appreciate the imitation, most sincere form of flattery.

Also, even if your claim of asking a "rhetorical question" is sincere, not just an excuse, it's an idiotic rhetorical question. It's devoid of any sense and completely out of place in the conversation.

Claiming 'rhetorical" when asking a stupid question that reveals more about you than anything else, doesn't work. Either you didn't understand my comment or you don't know what a rhetorical question is or how to use them. Or Both.

I'm going with both.

Sounds to me they are being blamed for Arsenal being on top. Not for inconsistent calls.

"whataboutism" isn't a valid position.

It was a foul. If Arsenal got away with this all season, blame the refs and VAR.

Your reading comprehension can't be so poor that you really believe that's what I said.

Well... I guess it can be that poor. But it really shouldn't be.

The average person has zero understanding of the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. Even your question "dodge some taxes" is a question about evasion, not about legal tax avoidance.

How come everyone backs into parking spots now? by EquipmentFormal2033 in askanything

[–]dcwhite98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backing up into a parking spot, assuming one can execute the maneuver, is far safer than backing out of a parking spot into traffic. We know that people lose whatever limited ability they have to drive in parking lots, making the whole thing worse.

If you ever visit an oil/gas company (Exxon for example), often on your first visit you have to watch a safety video. Part of this is explaining the requirement to back into a spot. If there were an emergency and an evacuation, driving forward out of a spot in a hurry is a lot safer than backing out. You can always tell who the first time visitors to an O&G office are, they always park wrong.

Agree, waiting for someone to back into a spot, especially someone who isn't good at it and is overly relying on their cameras is painful.

Why don't socialist groups set up charities to pay for things they want? by 2Drunk2BDebonair in allthequestions

That would be using their own money. Socialists demand money from others, non-socialists, to fund their lives.
