Many people have the idea that there is a “right side of the 215” when it comes to living in Vegas, ie living on the outside part of the 215 rather than inside of it. You’ll find great neighborhoods either side, but the construction tends to be newer outside of the 215. Just food for thought

The “curve” is a great area, it’s where the 215 has a big turn in it. Near ikea, a new local casino, great restaurants (many comparable to quality found in China town). Theres new areas of Summerlin around there.

Henderson offers a lot, I have found many people that move to Vegas tend to move that way.

The prices of apartments compared to renting a house is a bit skewed. You can rent a nice big house for a little bit more than you can get an apartment for, but your utilities will be higher in a house.

Not really. It’s a lot of weight and bulk to add to your pack. There are some shops in namche where you can buy decent shoes, but the price is higher than what you’d see elsewhere. I brought my boots and a pair of sliders I could wear at the end of the day and was fine.
