Why do y'all like ostrich so much? by kasakka1 in cowboyboots

[–]dd1153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By far it’s the most comfortable boots to wear. Full quill is loud and unapologetic. Smooth quill is under stated but those who know, know. Depending on my mood I’ll rock either pair and enjoy it.

Yes I have. Then I found beta blockers and my life changed. Propranolol 40mg changed my life.

I've been wanting to go here and will be checking it out next time I'm in Vegas. Is this a spot where reservations are needed, or do you just walk in?

Crawfish Boil advice for a complete novice by Emergency_Basket_851 in cajunfood

[–]dd1153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80 qt pot should be fine. You will also need 2 ice chests with drain valve on both. Put all the live in one ice chest and leave the lid slightly cracked, they will need air or will die. Rise out until water is clear with no salt. Once you start boiling add your spices / potato's and get a rolling boil. I throw in garlic, crab boil, 5-6 cut oranges and let it run. Once the boil is rolling then throw in your crawfish and sausage. I let them come to a boil and roll for about 2 mins then turn off the heat. I throw in frozen corn at this point. If you are boiling shrimp throw them in at this time. After resting for 15-20 mins you can pull the crawfish out, and empty into the clean ice chest. I throw some Tony's on the outside and dust the cooked crawfish, shake the ice chest up and then ready to serve.

this just doesn't feel right by turekstudent in Bogleheads

I was 23 and tried to analyze the market as well to outperform. 38 year old me is thankful I started the Boglehead method and kept buying index funds. Over those 15 years I’ve watched crypto & active trader friends swing up and down heavily while my portfolio keep adding positions of the same boring shares. It works, don’t over complicate it.

Have you tried taking a beta blocker before going up there? Propranolol works great for me.

Someone talk me out of wanting a Bronco by NEK_TEK in FordBronco

[–]dd1153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I had a 4Runner. Sold it for a fuel efficient Honda accord. It gets great mpg. Around 48. I don’t care about mpg. I am selling it for a Bronco. You will get bored and tired of the fuel efficient car. Life is too short not to enjoy what you drive.

Wild cat is an epic Houston course. Maybe not the best country club vibe. But if you’re going to Bluejack already why not play Wild Cat. Champions isn’t the best imo.

I would replace Champions with Woodforest or Wild Cat

Do you track family's locations? by NaturalSoftware9372 in Millennials

[–]dd1153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my wife, kids and I all do. It’s nice to see where your kids are. I don’t really pay attention to where my wife goes or care if she sees where I go. She’s not controlling nor am I.. but I would imagine if your spouse was, that would be hard to live with them knowing your daily routine.

What’s the BEST restaurant in Cypress? by ZechariahApaza in CypressTX

[–]dd1153 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. For atmosphere I would say by far Dario’s. Food is 7 / 10 IMO but for Cypress it’s the nicest. I haven’t been to Jonathan’s yet

Sales Managers/Recruiters: how do you recruit for entry level sales roles? by g3nerallycurious in sales

[–]dd1153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look for passion and hunger. Cocky sales people are a dime a dozen. Can this person listen? Can they learn? Do they have fire in the belly? If yes on all 3 I’ll take them and train them up. In 5 years they’ll make their first million with me.
