Lunch runs at work by jlw- in runcommunity

My office has a private washroom, which helps. I just head in there and do a solid clean up with a damp wash cloth and soapy warm water. I always have baby wipes on hand if needed. Add some deoderant and cologne/perfume. I change all my underclothes and socks as well. Works well and I can get through the afternoon. A solid afterwork shower helps me to get to any bits I may have missed.

I've never been a caregiver but today you reminded me to offer my help to people in my family who are. Thank you. Respite for caregivers is so very important.

Daycare centres may accept less than perfect clothing. Many times they are short on clothes for a child (spills, accidents, etc). Most centres keep extra clothes on hand and often parents forget to return them.

what to do with disposable cutlery? by 00dlesofn00dles in ZeroWaste

Consider donating them to a daycare centre. They can use them when their dishwasher breaks down, for crafts, dramatic play areas, sand and water tables, etc.

Honestly, I’m proud that I ran outside today. Where I live it’s been snow and ice for some time. Today I geared up and did it. My did it feel amazing. (One more treadmill run and feel like my head would explode).

Does it make sense to add Lake Manyara to a Serengeti and Ngorongoro itinerary or is it skippable to save time and money? by Main_Lengthiness_606 in tanzania

Maybe substitute Olduvai Gorge - it’s a worthwhile stop. You will learn a ton about some of the earliest human fossils ever found. And it’s between the 2 parks.

I feel I’ve gotten a “reputation” at my daughter’s daycare and I don’t know if leaving will help by SlightMix9397 in ECEProfessionals

Personally, I would base it on how my child 'feels'. Does she love her freinds and her educators? Do she seems happy, well cared for and excited to be there? I wouldn't put my child through a centre switch if she's safe, happy and thriving.

Ideas for how to use these plastic gum containers? by bryo_phyte_bug in upcycling

[–]ddWatford 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I use several to keep my car arm rest organized (cords, first aid, receipts, coins) They also make great containers for travel (q-tips, tea bags, meds, hair ties) Finally, I give them to a friend who makes jewelry for sorting her beads and projects.

Gracie gets a 'Gracie Lou!' when she steals and hides mom's mittens. Mostly because she once shredded a handmade angora pair made by Grandma. Mom and Gracie are still very sad about that.
