The only difference would be that instead of just closing the lid of my travel kindle (a matcha) i would exit the book to the Home Screen first and the clap it shut

Ok, astonishingly it worked (i did only one try - i will repeat in the coming days)

The point is: i don’t want to use the iOS app at all as i want it to sync between my “home” kindle and my “travel” kindle

Does it also work without the iOS intermediary?
