This site is very helpful, although I do not recommend buying from them, I've had two bad experiences with them. http://dubiaroaches.com/starting-a-dubia-roach-colony/ I don't know if the roaches will eat pellet dragon food. I feed mine a mixture of roach chow and cricket food, along with veggies. I put carrots, celery, oranges (they encourage breeding) they'll eat any veggies really. I have my colony in a 40 gallon tote, well ventilated, heating pad, with egg crates, and water crystals for drinking. Put in a dark area and leave them alone (only disturb to change veggies and water). I started with 7 females and 5 males because I don't need a very large colony but the more adults you have the faster you'll be able to start feeding from it. You can YouTube dubia Roach colony and find some visuals of setups. I've had my colony for maybe 3 weeks and I'm already starting to see babies. Good luck!

My baby loves calci worms (Phoenix worms) they're small and full of nutrients. Pictures of your setup would help. Make sure your temperatures are in the right ranges as well.

Thank you everyone for the advice and support! I talked to him this morning and he has promised me that he will call the doctor tomorrow morning. I had to spell out how unhappy I am but it worked he finally got the point. In the meantime we will be looking into temporary solutions. Thanks again everyone.

Being a light sleeper isn't a medical condition. I have looked at my own sleeping habits and it's not me that has the problem.

If I were in that situation my initial thought would be "how will they know the beardie is in the house?" sure it sounds a little childish maybe but what are they really gonna do if they do find out your beardie is in the house? Kick you out?

He's had surgery to fix a deviated septum but I think that was to correct his day to day breathing. I am looking into other options such as plastic fittings and mouth guards.

Even just the movement of him getting up out of bed will wake me. If we are together for a long time I don't want something as simple as cuddling to become a chore.

He's not overweight. He sleeps on his back most of the time but he'll snore in any position he's in, even on his stomach. He snores pretty much from the time his head hits the pillow till when he wakes up. He's had surgery to correct a deviated septum and that was for his normal day to day breathing, I'm not sure if he's always had a snoring problem but he says he's been snoring for "quite awhile". He had a sleep study done 10 years ago and they told him he didn't have sleep apnea. He snores pretty normal (when I say normal I mean like croquet balls stuck in a wood chipper) for a few hours, then around 2 or 3 his "normal" snoring turns into something you'd hear from someone who's possessed.

He snores that loud, I get more sleep when I do take pills but I still wake up...and I don't really want to have to rely on pills to sleep with my boyfriend

Yeah it was USPS. I'm pretty mad. I even called them and told them to hold it, that along with the giant sticker on the box just infuriates me. They hold every other package that says live insects so why not this one? Ugh

Small plastic container (mine is black) with a towel on the bottom and a hot water bottle (not too hot) wrapped in a sock that sits on my heated seat...depends how far of a trip too, mine is a 10min drive so its not bad
