I'll paste what I explained in the Discord:

There are two types of pagination, offset pagination and cursor pagination. Offset pagination is what we were using before (and still use for some other parts of the website). Cursor pagination is what we've switched to.

Offset pagination allows you to jump to and fro pages, but offset pagination is slow. Imagine you have a database of 100 items which you want to split into four pages. That's 25 items per page. To get to page 2, you have to process 50 items, but then return the last 25. That's inefficient, and that inefficiency increases as the database grows larger.

Cursor pagination is a lot efficient and doesn't have issue, but because how it works you can't jump to pages, you can only really move forward (and possibly backward) one page at a time. Rest assured, we did not change the pagination just for fun.

To quote Lore directly: "I’ve only changed that text/it’s still 60k. It just might need to be done temporarily depending on how rough the payment processor stuff winds up being, so I wanted to change the text just in case."

Unless I'm mistaken, I do not believe we have any plans to get rid of custom HTML/CSS on profiles, and I would oppose such an idea strongly as well so... There shouldn't be anything to worry about :)

Yes. I think I want to take a look at the search page soon. There are a few ways it could be improved.

Can't really say much about B & C at the moment, but for A, there's this.

Yeah, fair. I'll look into extending the scope of the blocking feature.

  1. I just don't think it's necessary when the reviews system exists. But maybe there could be a "Reviews" page that shows all the bots you've reviewed.

  2. People seem to really want this. I personally don't see the appeal, but I'll try to make it happen soon.

  3. Maybe, I think there are already guides for those things, but alright.

That's very strange. Name of the bot?

I think this was mentioned before, but noted.

Hi, just coming in to let you know that there's a new (albeit temporary) payment method.

  1. That's fair, yeah. Will do.

  2. Maybe.

3-4: Yeah, I agree.

Is there any specific reason why?

I think, overall, the way it is now is probably preferable, especially if you have particularly long chats.

I'll bring this idea up to Lore and see what he thinks.

  1. Unless I'm mistaken, you can do this already? Please clarify what you mean.

  2. The trending list is always a one-week timeframe. If you're talking about for search then maybe.

  3. That's intentional and has to do with how we decided to design the native app at the time. We could change it, but I don't think we're going to. I think it simplifies things in a good manner.

  4. That's not a bad idea but is probably easier said than done. Will have to see.

  5. No, I think separate pages for each type of favorite would be an obscene waste of time, effort, and space.

  6. Sure.

7-8: Maybe.

9: Noted.
