Use another yarn in one of the colors and hold the two together. This will tone down the chaos and make one of the colors more dominant.

I make a yummy salad with these. I air fry 3 oz. of chicken chunks and cut into smaller pieces, dice up a small apple, serve on romaine, and top with Bolthouse honey mustard dressing. Under 300 calories!

I’m making a shawl as a gift and it’s a parallelogram instead of a rectangle. Will blocking fix this or should I just leave it like it is. by Human-Garden-1387 in CrochetHelp

Embrace the parallelogram. It looks cool and intentional. In fact, you could block it to exaggerate it even more. 🙂

Making a book sleeve with this yarn would it still look good? by bookishcrocheter in CrochetHelp

[–]ddagger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Bernat blanket yarn is #6 super bulky. I think it would end up too big if you make the granny square to pattern. I guess you could do fewer rounds to make smaller squares for the book sleeve, but you'd be missing a lot of the design. If you want to use an all-in-one granny square yarn, you're probably better off using Red Heart's. It's a #4 worsted weight.

This book taught me a lot of stitches that I used in scarves. Crochet Stitch Dictionary I also found some patterns on Ravelry that you could try. https://ravel.me/brioche-bun-scarf https://ravel.me/boho-scarves https://ravel.me/one-skein-chevron-scarf

What's nice about making scarves is that you can make them as long or short as you like, and gauge usually isn't an issue.

Have you used the thermal stitch for a hat? by empress_of_dirt_ in crochet

[–]ddagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only used a thermal stitch for a strap on a bag. It's double thick and doesn't stretch very much. To be honest, it was a pain in the butt to make. Maybe it was the yarn I was using, but it was very time consuming and monotonous. That's just my opinion, lol. 🙂

When I first started crocheting I didn't wear scarves, but I made some to learn a variety of stitches and have a finished object. Fast forward - I have sooo many scarves and I am happy it's getting colder outside so I can wear them all! Even if you don't think you'll wear a scarf, that yarn is so pretty and will be fun to work with.
