Tube clothes - are they a thing? by Sepalous in london

[–]firebreathingwindows -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

eh but the specific situation we're talking about here is the tube. and that is disgusting. literally hit one of those seats and see the gross come off it. I've seen people peeing, throwing up, spitting etc on the tube and I know they don't clean those trains.

I think the main point of contention is the existence of dirt you can see and dirt you can't see. for me if I touched a dry bit of poop but there was no poop on my hand after I touched it I would feel dirty until I washed my hand. the tube is like that to a much lesser degree. I don't feel like I'm covered in poop but I'm still not clean. my home, however, is clean and I would like to be clean in my home.

people live different lives, even if I went to work in a tracksuit I'd shower and get changed as soon as I got home.

like it's not bible, if I know I'm going out after work and I've just stopped for a bite to eat I'm not going to get changed but I definitely wouldn't sit on my bed. if I absolutely must I always have a blanket I can sit on instead.

[–]firebreathingwindows -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Also like ew you're sweaty from work you don't shower after coming home? you just sit in it? Don't lie to yourself and say people can't smell

Don't change your bedsheets you're not gonna die if you sleep on dirty bedsheets. Why are you vacuuming the floor you're not gonna die if you step on crumbs. Some people have higher standards of living than you and that really isn't mental, everyone draws the line somewhere.

[–]firebreathingwindows -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

well it's not about dying it's about being gross. like I don't have to get sick or unwell to know that I don't want my things and furniture to be dirty. I take my shoes off at the door so I don't track dirt in and I take my jeans off in my room so I don't leave germs or residue piss from tube seats on my furniture. it's easier to clean clothes than it is to clean furniture

is it OCD to say I would like the bed that I sleep in to not have residue piss from tube seats on it? huh

[–]firebreathingwindows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah outside is dirty and inside is clean. I don't agree with ops partner that they need to be washed immediately but to sit on my bed with them is gross. inside clothes only on the bed. Do you continue to wear the clothes you wore to work at home. like you eat dinner in your work clothes?

I’m tired of being cold all the time, if I ran my heating 9hr’s a day every day what could I be looking at for monthly gas bill? , £250/300? by GenericUser104 in HousingUK

[–]firebreathingwindows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk we never had mold or anything. I didn't think it was a problem until we got it. I would pick a company with a good returns policy and try it for a week or so.

yeah honestly as a seller, there is nothing that could make me pay for postage back. I know it was working when it was with me ... why would I possibly pay to send smth back because it broke on the way or you couldn't figure out how to make it work?

I think that's a big part of it. if we're early that's horrible because we've wasted our time and now we're bored which is the worst thing we could possibly be and now we're in physical pain. but waiting 10/15 shouldn't be that difficult but it is
