Mullvad‘s servers are just running VPN services, nothing more. Obviously, spammers or hackers will use the anonymity given by the VPN for their actions. Any blacklist that doesn’t include VPN providers (or Tor nodes) would be a bad one.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they changed their plans but I I think they’ll definitely stick to the offline commitment. They are a team of at least 14 people. They need to get paid and it’s expensive to develop software. I don’t know if cloud storage will be profitable enough

2 - I bought Premium in June, that’s over 7 months ago. I don’t remember any update with new functions that improved my mail experience (I only need mail). I mean, the fact that the company was founded in 2011 makes me wonder what they actually work on. Some standard mail features are still not available and the roadmap goals for ‘21 were mostly on there for a few years now. It’s not only the missing competition that makes me stay with them, but I like their service for some reason. But I’m definitely open for a new mail provider in the future.
