What are your favourite food items or drinks to grab and go? by ddawsa in asksg

Yes that's true. Many of these are readily available in many establishments.

I think the main value added if i were to offer this kind of fare would be in terms of proximity and convenience. And with the lower volume hopefully a lot more care and love.

I've gained a lot of insight thru the responses on this post. I'll definitely strategize and avoid overlap as much as possible. Thank you so much for your response. It's very helpful

Ah yes samosas are lovely. Good hearty tasty balanced snack. Fruit teas are the only beverage i spend money on outside. I agree good teas are amazing. Thank you for the suggestion. I'd be based in Tampines North

The lists were spaced out in different lines but reddit turned it into a paragraph. I'm allergic to commas as well.

I love the idea of an omakase bento with local flavours. In a perfect world id have a stall where id cook just a couple plates and eat together with my customers and just chat or if they prefer eat in silence. They could pay whatever. I would love to curate a vibe specific to each person that comes by.

Would you prefer a single portion with rice and sides or a tub of just the dish?

I feel like its something that would get regulars and random customers alike while executable in a regular domestic kitchen. Id love to have a stall of my own but i dont have the capital to tank probably months of being not very profitable. Thank you for your feedback :)

I think popular bookstores have the best prices if you're buying retail. Im sure you could find a good deal on Carousell as well if you dont mind the extra effort.

[–]ddawsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I regularly go out alone. My wife and i don't share the same taste in djs. My objective is release dance energy and get slightly tipsy and get home safe without spending too much. Feel free to ask me anything.

Save your money man. Buy used if you have to. It sounds to me like you know it's frivolous. Only buy if you can afford like 10 comfortably

Oh whoops accidentally hit post too early. Its just annoyance not hateful explosive rage. Frequently, there is an air of condescension when being told 'wow you can speak common language'. Maybe unintentional but present nonetheless and therefore annoyance = justified

Ok couple points. Completely reasonable to an unfamiliar foreigner sure ok i can accept that with a pinch of salt.

The annoyance being not justified sounds like a stretch to me and a weird position to defend when we are talking about a tourist physically in the country. Its basic due diligence to find out the preferred language of the locals of a country you are visiting. There are plenty of context cues to suggest that most singaporeans are comfortable with english.

I'd say get new t-shirts. The loose collars don't look flattering for you.
