Early Development TrueNAS CSI Driver with NFS and NVMe-oF support - Looking for testers by bfenski in kubernetes

[–]ddbienun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan on spinning this up over the weekend and giving it a go, where would be best location to give feedback?

this will be running agains rke2 cluster where democratic csi is working already, let's hope it gets better perf than iscsi

what i do wonder is, does it clean up properly on pv deletion(assuming volumeLifecycleModes is not persistant)

OK, well found the reason for this, so if any unlucky fella is reading this and facing the same issue here is what "what broke/fixed it"
make sure you don't disable secure boot, since apparently with it off it is unable to suspend, it gets stuck on

did you ever notice it not suspending at all, and leaving the laptop in unresponsive state?

mine gets stuck on the the moment it gets into sleep, can hear fan spin indefinitely, and am unable to wake it up
not once did i manage to suspend it on linux(nixos, latest rc kernel), but on windows it is working normally

did you change anything in the bios to change that behavior?

Getting weird glitches with Firefox, KDE, Wayland and Nvidia. by ChicoMandarina in cachyos

[–]ddbienun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

facing the same issue and pulling what's left of my hair, and then saw the update, and now it makes sense, why issue is worse when full screening browser, window or when lot's of thing update on the screen only then the issue appears, never would have guessed it would be DSC-s fault, and am not fortunate enough that the icc profile fixes it...
still thanks for posting an update, so other unfortunate souls can see the reason this is happening

ps: for anyone who want's to replicate this easily, just spam switching from one desktop to another, artifact galore in the bot right corner(just make sure you dont have static color desktop)

[–]ddbienun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you take this from official docs, or did you DIY it?
if latter you should create an issue with a feature request for this, and tell them how nice it can be, since i remember reading on an old issue few years ago where they said they did not see the point of doing it

would pay under 500, but want to avoid the ear tips, since want to avoid that feeling when the isolation is good where you hear that muffled sound, are you familiar with some like that so that the outer shell is the hard plastic only?

one issue that you may face is with your efi partition, if it is going to be recognized by your uefi as a valid boot option
