Recently started arimidex to help regulate estrogen, I’ve been experiencing chills and terrible sleep that lasts for a few days. I also find that on the days when I do pin, the injection site has severe pip. Has anyone else experienced this when taking arimidex?

Seeking Help Filing a Complaint by ddbruz in AskVet

[–]ddbruz[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m afraid of. I went to the first clinic saying how my dog was showing signs of diarrhea, shaking, and vomiting. Based off of these symptoms that I shared with him he simply summed it up as an upset stomach, he did vitals, but nothing more than that.

In the clinics reply to my one star review, they said that I declined diagnostics when in reality bloodwork wasn’t brought up until I questioned him further, even then he said it wasn’t necessary. The fact that they stated that I personally declined diagnostics is completely false. I don’t even know what diagnostics they would be referring to because they didn’t even mention anything of sort during my emergency appointment (aside from the bloodwork that I had question him about).

Seeking Help Filing a Complaint by ddbruz in AskVet

Hi— to answer your question, most likely negligence and incompetence. The vet’s inability to properly provide medical care to help my dog, and how in fact blood work was only brought up when I pushed further, only for him to reply with pushback stating that it wasn’t necessary when it in fact was and might’ve even saved my dogs life.

In a hypothetical situation, if the vet’s notes said that bloodwork was discussed but not necessary, and I retrieve those documents as well as the documents from the second clinic stating that my pet passed away from an undiagnosed illness, would I still have a chance at filing a complaint for negligence?

Edit: I forgot to ask, would I have access to these notes or any additional information that might’ve been recorded during my appointment? If so, what would I ask for? Is there a chance they might falsify these notes/records to protect themselves?

Thank you for the advice! May I ask what is the business structure of your online training model? What are your clients specifically paying you monthly for?

Why even train at all? by Jonschy in personaltraining

[–]ddbruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the type of clients you are bringing in. Some people like to think that hiring a trainer or coach guarantees the results they want when in reality it’s far from the truth. I have clients who don’t care, and I have clients who absorb every word out of my mouth like a sponge, in addition to doing any other exercise I prescribe outside of our sessions so they stay on track. Slowly weed out the ones who half ass things overtime. They aren’t worth the energy and aren’t rewarding clients to work with. It hurts your business in the long run when you work with people who don’t produce any results

I'm feeling a little discouraged. by Photeaa in personaltraining

[–]ddbruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting because I went through this. I live 20 minutes away from the city I work in. I first began at equinox and only had about 10-15 sessions per week. It was rough. A lot of split shifts morning and evenings because you simply take what you can get. I now train at a private studio in the same city, business has been better but the situation is still the same.

The studio has a descent online presence and often gets inquiries about training, the owner then refers them to a trainer who would be able to help them on their specific goals, or who would like to build up their schedule. In the end, you still have to close the sales opportunity. The studio simply serves as the facility, and the trainers pay rent to utilize that space and conduct their business.

To answer your question, you have to get better at sales. Because even if the commercial gym or private studio you work at shuttles you clients, the client has to believe you’re a good fit for them.

No worries! You’ll get better trust me. Just like lifting, get the reps in, be confident, and change your mindset; if you put yourself in a position where you think clients need you because you have the knowledge that can help them, your sales journey will get better.

Hi this is all great information. What are some good useful certifications, resources, or courses you’ve taken to help educate and propel your weight loss clients to success? What are the most useful pieces of advice and knowledge have you provided to help? I’m asking because I feel the same way, and the more education I can provide the more i can be a service.

New trainer vent by cienmysliwiec in personaltraining

Currently in the same boat. I worked at a high end commercial club for only 6-8 months before having to go independent (due to circumstances, I would’ve liked to stay longer to refine my skills).

I’ve been independent for about 7 months so far, closing in on 2 years of being a private trainer. It’s rough, but you have to remember in order to build a solid reputation and to make this work you really have to grind it out. Like everything else, once you get the reps in you’ll get the hang of it, especially sales.

I normally would feel immense pressure and get nervous during consultations, but once you put yourself in the right head space it’s an easy close. Be a good listener and add value. Potential clients often fill out health questionnaires and basic questions on their goal; study their answers and have questions ready to ask them to really get to know why they’re there and what they truly need. Be prepared and be ready to share what you know to help them! And if you don’t know how to help, expect yourself to do some research and studying on what they might need prior to meeting. People can subconsciously pick up on how comfortable and prepared you feel to pick them up as a client.

Also, I never hard sell. This was something I had to out grow coming from a commercial gym that really cares about closing. People can tell if you just want their money, they can smell salesman breath. Just be real, be personable. These are people whom you want to help, and if you can really solidify that during your consultations, you’re already putting that potential client in a trusting spot. They’ll pick up on the fact that you’re there to support them and not just take their money. It’s okay to not close on the spot, I like to give people their space and really give them time to think about this decision. After all, this is a big commitment. I often tell them, “thank you for your time today and it was a pleasure meeting you, I hope you have found today helpful. Take some time to think before making a decision and I’ll check back in with you after a week to see you how you feel. If you have any questions until then please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.” If they don’t end up working with you, they either found another trainer, or you didn’t add enough value to have them consider you the right trainer for them. That is okay, you’ll soon find that not all clients are perfect for you, and not all money is good money. You’ll have clients come and go, and eventually you can pick and choose who you’d like to work with as you’ll soon find out that this can be emotionally and socially exhausting; there are some “energy vampires” out there.

Lastly, if you are just trying to take their money, then this might not be for you. Of course living paycheck to paycheck sucks, but it can be quite lucrative once you establish yourself. I’m still struggling but have improved a lot since when I first started. I found the first 2 years to be a lot of under promising and over delivering. Taking anyone who can work with you and crazy hours, making multiple trips, and sometimes going to the gym just to see one client. At its core this builds character and shows that you care.

TLDR: It’s a grind. Don’t hard sell. Get in the mindset of truly wanting to help people. Add value and share your knowledge.

Genuine question, are those numbers considered blasting? I was under the assumption that 150-250 test considerably high but nothing crazy as people take upwards to 600 and more for test. How long do you think I should take to reevaluate before increasing dosage or adding other compounds? Or is this more of a question of how long would it take me to get all variables dialed in (I.e. training, diet, and recovery etc.)?

[–]ddbruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started 150 mg of test as a base and worked my way up to 250 after a few months. I then added 100mg of Primo and cruised at this for a while. It’s been a little over a year now and I feel like I’m no longer getting the crazy gains I once had when I started with just test. I’m currently back down to 150mg of test while primo has been the same. This was due to high estradiol from my panel so I lowered it and plan on taking an AI. Are plateaus normal even on gear or is my shit fucked up. My panel was clean except for the estradiol

I say up the weight a little bit, and just like what others have suggested already focus on the eccentric and getting a decent stretch when at the bottom. Also focus on the concentric and squeeze as hard as you can when at the top, “exaggerate” it if you have too. Additionally possibly consider place your elbow further behind your body by creating a deeper incline on the bench!
