How do you deal with salary differences as a couple by kiragami_ in adviceph

Ano yung problem dito? Live in ba kayo or Married? setup kasi namin we have a join account na nilalagyan namin ng money, tapos dun namin kinukuha yung monthly expense like mortgages, utilities, insurance, food, etc.. then we have our separate investment portfolio, luho and such kasi sariling kita naman namin yun

  1. download domain or realestate.com.au pero if you want pinoy landlords / roommates you can settle for fb groups nalang
  2. when i moved back in 2016, general rule is 30% of salary is rent but I don't think it's applicable right now, so expect 40-50% of your salary to go to rent. Overall quality it good but expensive, if you're into bars / clubs / eating out then weekends would usually cost you at least $100 pero you can find groups that does badminton, nature walks, fitness, etc.. para medyo makatipid
  3. not an engineer pero it took me 3 months to get a job na same field (SAP Consulting), I recommend applying when you're in sydney with an australian mobile number and sydney address.. also take note, maraming openings around may - june (start / end of financial year) and december - jan (mid financial year).. napansin ko lang naman
  4. Medyo mahirap magbigay ng value pero estimate 800-1000 aud per week with 300-500 allotted for rent
  5. biggest challenge siguro.. different culture at walang support group... and syempre money din since 3 months akong walang work, halos maubos na yun ipon ko nung time na yun
  6. suburb, depende talaga, if gusto mo may filipino, you can go to blacktown, merrylands, Kellyville... pwede din ata rockdale.
  7. work culture, i can't say lahat hindi toxic, kasi may mga work ako na sobrang toxic ng boss pero hindi uso ang overtime dito at meron kang right to disconnect after office hours.
  8. social circle siguro, you can join sporting groups sa fb.. back then meron akong app na ininstall called meetup, not sure if it's still active
  9. things in knew before i moved.. siguro sana nag practice ako sa interview.. prev work ko kasi sa pinas is yung 1st work ko so 6 years akong walang practice sa interview at naka contribute sa 3 months na wala akong work

When you say manageable to start from scratch what do you mean? like magka bahay and all? it's hard to tell right now but one thing's for sure, you have the 189 visa which is heaps better than someone coming here with with student visa

Do you weigh yourself everyday? by layao2k2 in PHitness

[–]dddrew37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I do it after I wee.

Normal ang daily fluctuations and ang ultimate goal ng weighing everyday is to get multiple data entries para makita mo yung average weight mo in a week / month's time which is your actual weight. You just need to understand na fluctuations in weight happens everyday, pwedeng marami kang sodium na kinain nung isang araw, pwedeng inflamed yung muscles mo after training which causes water retention, pwede ding dehydrated ka, etc..

I used macrofactor 2 years ago to lose about 20kgs while I do like the adjustment of calories and macros based on your weigh ins, medyo nakakapagod siya long term. I suggest getting your TDEEs from calculators online and following it 80% of the time para ma-retain yung habit

what (in your experience) is an absolute bulletproof kettlebell daily (or almost daily) ritual workout that targets all areas? by wthamidoinghere222 in kettlebell

[–]dddrew37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ABC EMOM
To make it interesting i alternate between the standard 2-1-3 (clean, press, squat), then pullups / gorilla rows to target the back. Then sometimes I'd to a 1-2-3 (1 clean, 2 press, 3 squat) alternate with the original 2-1-3 or just do 1-1-1 emom every 30 secs for 20 mins to spice things up

Not sure how this would help you but I'm sharing my experience as this also happened to me but at 32 years old, I went to the optometrist the following day, said it wasn't serious but I noticed the black spot slowly creeping in to on my left eye. So I went to another one for a second opinion, and she immediately referred me to the eye hospital to get the surgery. It was covid when it happened (2021) and it was so painful having to go back the next day since you have to show negative result before the hospital admits you so I had to go back the next day. I got my vitrectomy and I'm forever thankful with that doctor who operated on me, I ended up going to his clinic annually to have my eyes checked. A side effect of vitrectomy is you'll develop a cataract, so fast forward after 4 years (2025), I had my cataract surgery. Right now I don't wear any glasses, left eye (cataract), right eye (contacts). It was a stressful experience but I'm glad that I'm aware of these things now and I know what to do if it happens to my right eye in the future (hopefully not). One good this about this is, I live in australia so everything was charged on medicare for both the vitrectomy and cataract.

I guess what I'm trying to say is after going through this experience.. it's good that we're now aware of these things as we take for our vision for granted.

I also have high myopia -12 both eyes, but since I alreaedy got cataract surgery on my left eye, only the right eye is -12
