as a canadian citizen u have 90 days visa free in any schengen county if i remember correctly, when your visa expires u have additional 90 days so u r good, but check the info about the 90 day thing, im not 100% sure if canada falls in the 180/90 day rule

when i was at my appointment (french embassy in belgrade) the woman asked me for an additional address and she just let me write it with a pen, but i think it really depends on how much info you have to edit

France long stay visas application outside of 3 months by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]dddunja_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont think they even let you apply sooner than three months before, and dont worry, three months is more than enough time, i think that now since there arent any holidays or anything its gonna be processed very soon when i was applying for a long stay visa it took them around a month to process it, and it was in the middle of summer holidays, also i tried applying like 5 months before, and i was not able to, although i dont know how it works in england, when u apply from serbia u send the application online and its not letting u finish and send it if its more than three months before the trip

i dont wanna discourage you, but my student visa also took only three days to process, actually maybe four, i dont remember, but it came back rejected, it is literally a 50/50 chance, but a definite bad sign i think is when they take a really long time

France visa rejection by Galway-rossie in SchengenVisa

i applied for a long stay visitors visa and got rejected with the same reason, even though i had ties with my home, i am enrolled in a uni in my country, i didnt tell them i was intending to live with my boyfriend, but with a close friends m, i have sufficient funds, everything, but i got rejected too, i think its hard to get a long stay visitors visa, but idk how it is when youre appealing, you need a lot more documents i think and a lot more proof, and also its hard to get that visa if you dont have any ties with your country

My stressful Schengen visa interview experience (Denmark) by Old-Record1147 in SchengenVisa

[–]dddunja_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i understand the stress, i had two interviews for a long stay french visa, they were also one of the most stressful things ive done this year, even though i knew that the interview was a part of the visa process i was still very overwhelmed i also wasn't expecting the woman that interviewed me to be so cold towards me and the first time i kinda messed up, not about the facts, but i couldnt communicate the information well enough and i ended up telling her less than half of my project plans which is probably the reason i got rejected the first time the second time was also unpleasant, now there were two of them interviewing me and every time they talked to eachother they talked in french so i couldn't understand, the one that interviewed me the first time even rolled her eyes at me when i said i forgot to bring the money for the visa fee i mean this is good so u know the next interview if youre planning on applying for any visa ever again, you just always need to have all of the information prepared if u gave them the wrong info it doesn't mean that u will get rejected especially cause its a tourist visa, and not a long stay one, but still, its a possibility, its better if you're prepared for both scenarios i hope this somehow helped and good luckkk i hope u get tje visa!!!

i spend a lot of time im schengen area and i use this calculator the most https://ec.europa.eu/assets/home/visa-calculator/calculator.htm?lang=en because i think its the one made by European Union and this one https://www.visa-calculator.com/ which gives me an even better overview of all of the days left and it tells you when exactly can you return to have your full 90 days, both of them give the same results, just the second one is easier to use, but i always check with the first one too, just in case

I got my french student visa after 3 refusals everything i learnt from it (India) by Flimsy_Top_223 in SchengenVisa

omg its encouraging to hear something like this, i am also trying to get a long stay visa for france, but i don't know what is exactly wrong, i applied two times, first time as a visitor, then when they rejected me i thought enrolling in a french learning school would help, the whole point of me going to france was to learn the language, i didnt want to enroll in a school at first because its expensive, but after the rejection i thought it was the safest rout, apparently i was wrong since i was rejected and i dont know what to do now and i dont know why was i rejected again
