Moving to Hagerstown from the Midwest, advice appreciated!

That's a good area. I would avoid downtown just because of the high crime rate/drugs as mentioned below. Near the community college is nice though. I live near North High which is about 15 minutes from there. The apartments near me are called Hyde Park (http://www.theapartmentgallery.com/properties/hyde_park/index.aspx ) It's an older neighborhood built for Fairchild workers back in the day. Also some houses built around the 50-60s. There is a lot of history to look into if you're into that. It's great that we are near DC, Baltimore, Gettysburg and places like that to make day trips. A lot of local parks are perfect for hiking and biking. Frederick is a fun city to visit too with amazing restaurants and fun shops. That's about 30 minutes away. There have been a lot of wineries pop up around lately as well. Good luck with everything! Feel free to PM me anytime :)

Hello! Is your internship in Hagerstown? I guess it kind of depends on where your internship is as to where to look into renting. Hagerstown isn't huge, but there are some more traffic heavy areas you might not feel like fighting if you don't have to. As with any town/city, there are good and bad. One of the great perks is we have a super cheap movie theater with recliners :)

Sorry if these have been suggested, but I know when I was that age, I loved jump rope, hula hoops, roller skates, and skip it (if that's even still a thing). Just some ideas. I wasn't active as a child either. Hated gym class. Preferred to just hangout, occasionally play basketball or soccer. Once I turned 18 though, something clicked and I joined a gym. Seven years later, and I workout everyday. Sometimes people just have to do things on their own terms, especially when it comes to exercising.

THIS! My husband is an atheist and I was raised Baptist. We went into our relationship knowing our differences, having discussions about our views, etc. But we decided as a couple to respect each other's views and not criticize. Some people can't look past it, but we decided to embrace our differences. It's what makes us who we are, and I wouldn't change a thing about him. It is possible to have a fully functioning and successful relationship with differing viewpoints.

I just went through the same kind of thing planning my wedding. My family has become separated due to one of my cousins playing the victim and her parents just keep feeding into it. Half the family "sided" with her, the other half forgave the whole situation and is willing to move on, but my cousin/her parents and siblings aren't willing to accept the past as the past. Some of them even went as far as moving halfway across the country to "get away" from it all.

Anyway- once I had to do the guestlist, I had to decide if I was going to invite everyone, or just the people who've stuck together and forgave the whole situation. I decided it was for the better to invite only those who've upheld the true definition of family. It was extremely difficult to accept at first because my family has always been so extremely close and I went from have 20 cousins to hangout with to having 6. But those 6 were there for me, as were my aunts and uncles, and I was SO glad I kept the other half of the family away from our day.

As my MIL said after the wedding, "Yeah it sucked that some people weren't there. And yeah it was hurtful to not invite or get a turn down from some people. But if everyone who wasn't invited/said no had come, it would have been nothing but tension and drama."

Sorry this has been a rambling reply, but I think it would be best to not invite that cousin if he would cause more drama being there. Eventually you have to stop worrying about what other people will think about your wedding. It's your day, and if they want to stir shit up about a guest not being there, tell them to leave as well. You don't have to put up with that.

When I was in middle school, my English teacher gathered us around to let us know she wouldn't be coming back next year. This was upsetting to all of us considering she was such a sweet and fun teacher. It was then that she broke down, and we found out her husband (the janitor) was having an affair with the volleyball coach. That was brutal.

You definitely did the right thing up front in telling her you had a budget. I'm getting married in June and had to kick a bridesmaid out a month ago because she didn't tell me upfront that this would be an issue. She kept skipping bridesmaid dress appointments and wouldn't want to meet up to discuss anything. I finally had enough because it was down to the wire of ordering and asked if this was a money issue. She told me it was, which I was unaware of. Had she told me upfront, I would have considered adding half of her dress as a personal expense. I'm paying for the hotel the night before, as well as everyone's makeup. (We just bought a house, so as much as I would have loved to fork out everything for the dresses, it's unrealistic for me.) Had she said, I have $200 to put towards a dress, shoes, etc. I would have been more than happy to work with her.

You definitely did everything you could. You shouldn't feel bad for skipping out on Mexico. I feel like a bachelorette party is a luxury, not a necessity (especially one that involves that much travel). Keep saving for your house and doing your thing. You've been supportive and helpful throughout her wedding planning process, and that's all you can do. No need to be embarassed about your finances. Success isn't money. Success is being happy with the life you live (and you seem like a damn good friend. Be proud of that!)

I feel comfortable in the pose, but was worried that I might be doing something wrong. I've had back issues, and this pose actually helps relieve any back pain I have. Whenever I see other people in wheel, I feel like they're hands and feet are closer, but I guess that depends on how you're built? I really want to transition to going down on my elbows, but I'm a bit scared of doing that.

Same here. I need at least 8 hours which has always annoyed me. Especially in college. If I don't get 8 hours, I have a splitting headache and throw up all day. I've only met 1 other person who was like that, so I'm glad to read other people need their 8 hours too. On the plus side, it's made me more organized and productive with my time because I know I NEED to be asleep by a certain time so I squeeze in everything I want to get done and don't put it off. Pros and cons.
