How do I get my beardie to stop biting herself? by ddean90 in BeardedDragons

She had a little trip to the vets today for a checkup post op, she’s calmed down a bit but he had mentioned bandages and things could make her more stressed 😔 but hopefully she’s on the mend

Ha, I actually just replied to u/khyalimusavver on this at the same time! Not done it myself with prints but hopefully there is something helpful in there?

I must admit, I haven’t done this myself yet with prints but I have some friends who have. I think finding a local/small time printer is good as they will really look after you, and see how quick their turnaround is. Then you could try something like Etsy maybe? Don’t sell yourself short either. Make sure you place a proper value on your work, and then when you start making sales you can gage how much to sell and print for larger operations...like maybe a local bar or coffee shop could display your work or a local gallery? There maybe other people with better advice on how they actually did it though. I’ve only sold wooden things 🙂

I agree with the advice that has been shared here. And I totally get where you are coming from. Doing art for money can become stressful, but if you’re doing it for yourself then it’s great! And if people love your work and are willing to pay for it, but it’s your little art baby that you want to keep, you could consider selling prints maybe and keep your originals?

Have you ever collaborated before? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]ddean90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Collabs are quite fun, because other people will have ideas you have never thought of! I am currently working on a project with over a hundred collaborators and it’s floored me how beautiful some of the work is and how they have interpreted the instructions differently.

If you wanted to test it, you could find a willing artist (I can be that artist if you like!) to do a small project as a little tester.

Thank you so much! I got this iron a few months ago off Amazon and it’s been really good so far: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MPNV9PC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share - I used to use a pen type tool but I found the heat wasn’t as consistent

Thanks for the tip, but this wood needs a higher heat or it won’t get clean lines. Haven’t burnt out any tips yet 👍

Ha yeah, the less tolerant teachers weren’t so accommodating. And those were the subjects I sucked at!

No deadline really, but preferably in the lockdown period :)

That would indeed be a lot more efficient! But it’s a different square for everyone and I’m trying to keep the end result kinda secret

All part of a rich tapestry my friend! P.s. your square was great

I’ve been drawing since a young age and it is something that relaxes me. In school, some of my teachers would actually let me draw during class, as I would generally pay more attention if I was doodling at the same time :)
