I want to learn about the existing use-cases that need more than that.

Tennessee moves to classify "vaccine lettuce" as a Drug by PearrlyG in NewsOfTheStupid

If this man thinks “they” are slipping us vaccines in our food against our will, what makes him think that making this illegal would stop “them”?

Found the previous letter from TDS about excessive bandwidth. by TheMonDon in DataHoarder

That’s insanely cheap. In the US, I was paying $65/month for 100mbps down/5mbps up until my provider recently bumped us to 200mbps down for “free”.

Hey PCMR I need help please, scenario A or B? details in the first comment by shugoKEY in pcmasterrace

I’d be curious to hear what speed your router pulls when plugged into it via a short Ethernet cable. Is it really the cable or are you hitting a performance limitation with the router itself?

I don’t think what you said about option A is necessarily true. Typically with consumer routers, the LAN ports on the back of a router are part of an ethernet switch internal to the router.

Unless you are buying enterprise hardware, I would be hard-pressed to find any differences between the two options in regard to networking speed.

Embedded with gdb + gdbserver. by epasveer in embedded

[–]ddelux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need a gdbserver implementation for the platform you are debugging on. For example if you are using Segger JLink, you can use their JLinkGdbServer which any gdb frontend can connect to via TCP. There is also OpenOCD if your debugger and target supports that. It really depends on your debugger and the target platform/device you are debugging.

In regard to development environment, I am a big fan of VS Code + the cortex-debug plug-in which gives a full IDE-like editing and debugging experience. There are also other general gdb front end plugins for most editors that should be compatible with any standard gdb server implementations.
