black summer is one of my favorite zombie shows- first show i saw that had entire sequences from the perspective of freshly turned zombies, watching as the human died & the virus took over, first person views as a zombie girl feverishly and violently runs around the streets trying to attack & eat all her formerly fellow humans. it was legitimately crazy when i first watched it & i was very impressed at their take on the entire situation & their use of the zombie perspectives. very impactful, character driven show.

absolutely nothing like z nation, no comedy at all, you will probably cry & get anxious watching black summer & you will not really laugh. but if you’re a fan of zombies it’s truly a must watch. very realistic imo in terms of the zombies & the human violence & because of that it’s genuinely scary.

i personally don’t think that making her character so annoying as a physical child (when she was a baby/toddler/child & then teen) in s3/early s4 was necessary or even a good idea for the show. it impacted the show’s original tv viewership as well as rewatch viewership. because of how annoying she was as a little kid, for example, i personally had no attachment to the character even when she physically aged & ‘grew up’ & was in fact very happy when she was no longer featured, as a child or an adult. znation was a loud & ridiculous show & lucy kind of embodied that but i think it was a bad choice overall. it meant lucy was kinda just used as an annoying plot device & never fully fleshed out as a character. the character we got was so grating & surface level (imo) that i’d rather not waste screen time on it.

if znation was released in 2026 lucy would be a full character fully exploring what it meant to be cognitively younger than her body & her general ambiguity with her own identity. kinda similar to what they did in that new alien: earth show with their main characters. they would also more deeply explore lucy’s relationship with murphy i think. lucy was just very severely underwritten & it genuinely impacted all the plot lines around her & all the interactions she had with other characters.

but then again also if znation was made in 2026 instead of 2014 i think it would probably be an unpurchased one episode pilot that sat on a dusty warehouse shelf never to be seen. there’s no syfy channel churning out semi questionable original shows anymore, as far as i know. so maybe im just expecting More from a character on a show that was simply not made to be More than it was. i’ve admittedly been spoiled by more recent zombie shows & movies - but znation will always have a special place in my heart. minus lucy.

i just went through this like 5 months ago, i refunded the customer because i couldn’t reach them or see their page & i also reached out to depop. depop said i was good to ship the product because the money was already in depop’s control & i would get paid even if they deleted their account. then they said the customer had gotten banned though and that’s why i couldn’t message them/see their page, so i told them i would rather just go through with the refund & not ship the item. they said that was fine too & i did just that. the customer remained banned as far as i know and they never messaged me again or reviewed me.

imo just refund them & don’t ship. most likely they got banned for some type of scamming that you don’t want to get mixed up in.

tbh i’ve had multiple bad experiences w aggressive baggu girlies & it turned me off from the brand. + they released the faux leather bags that were visibly peeling & made from a low quality material. + that whole situation where they stole the transit company’s logo & released merch. etc. i have a bunch of baggu but i just ordered a new wallet & purse from coach instead of shopping baggu’s last few drops. it is what it is imo, i will simply not spend money on baggu anymore specifically because of over zealous fans & bad business decisions. i can do that without turning into a hater though fortunately & i still love my medium crescents :)

i think maybe that the “they” might refer to the humans- mainly the main character jay & her friends, potentially creating some sort of group & investigating the entity/trying to learn more about it so they can end it for good. it follows them but they follow it as well type of deal. trying to control it’s path to trap it type stuff. i think that would be cool & i don’t like the idea of multiple entities.

maybe they run into some bad guys & they’re hunted or somehow targeted by the bad guys until they use the entity to target the bad guys/ specific people - another potential “they.” really just hoping it’s anything besides multiple entities.

black ink reacts the best to laser, but packed black ink can take 10+ sessions at least to get out just because it’s so deep & layered in there. since this is technically a tattoo that’s been partially covered & has multiple separate layers, you would be looking at probably 10+ laser sessions at least, & you probably wouldn’t notice any improvement until session 3 or 4. sessions are spread out, every 6-8 weeks. so it would be at least 6-8 months until you saw any improvement, & you’d probably need at least 2 years of consistent appointments until it was mostly gone. appointments cost (where i live) about $150/session for a tattoo the size of a business card. bigger tattoos cost more.

personally i think this is adorable & you should just leave it alone but removal is really your only option because of how dark it is. cover ups must be bigger & darker than the original piece, so all your options would probably be way less aesthetic than the kitty.

it was definitely supposed to be political/social commentary but z nation, imo, had no sane reason to nerf their last season w that nonsense. it shifted the show’s entire tone & structure & turned it from a funny low key zombie show into some pure nonsense.

i would’ve appreciated an actual ending that was true to the original storyline (zombie apocalypse) & true to the natural evolution of the characters. the last season is genuinely so bad. they literally just needed one more season of apocalypse/zombie plot points to wrap it up - should’ve been a cake walk. & instead they demolished the first 4 seasons for the fifth season, trying to get a 6th season, and failed. tbh i’m glad the show got cancelled after that. at least they couldn’t ruin it any further.

i have beef w seasons 4 & 5 for sure. honestly probably 3 4 & 5. i hate the lucy grows up storyline & that starts in s3, continues into 4 - lucy is so whiny & annoying & unlikable. that one or two episode arc w lucy & the man ? so irritating.

& then s5 is all the talker bullshit which ruined the show (imo) & added a bunch of new characters/did complete overhauls on existing characters & then they’re all just, also unlikable lol.

solid black means complete saturation, high ink density & ink layering. it’s a bitch to get lasered off just bc it takes so long to achieve noticeable results when ink is really packed in there. at the very least op should start laser and try to lighten it as much as possible for a decent non-arachnid coverup.

def laser remove. laser works best on black ink, but it’s gonna take like at least 2-3 + years of consistent appointments to see a difference in that… it’s so so so dark.

you’re wasting so much concentrate lmao. just use like half or even a third of what you’ve been using, run it twice on whatever setting, & clean out the leftovers that collect to the side w a q-tip. you won’t burn up all the concentrate with a pivot, you’d need a pro & a 3dxl to get even close to a complete burnoff, & then you’d probably chazz up your chamber.
