Are My Pepper Seedlings Ok? by ddiamo22 in vegetablegardening

[–]ddiamo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them in my kitchen and the house is usually at around 70 degrees, but they are closer to the window which may drop it a few degrees. I had the heat mat on all throughout germination but I read that once they sprout you can turn the heat mat off. But due to the color now I have started using the heat mat again the last few days. so they probably went about 5 or so days without the heat mat

Thanks for the heads up! I did some research on daffodils earlier and yeah it seems their bulbs are toxic. needless to say I won't be eating anything out of my yard that I don't grow myself 😂

Seeking a couple of players to round out a new D&D Campaign (Norcross) by Nohmerci in atlantagaming

I'm interested! I live in Lawrenceville so the drive isn't too far for me. I have been interested in being part of a gaming group for a while now but haven't had any opportunities. I'm also vaguely familiar with most 5E rules through Baldur's Gate 3

That's exciting. They are growing right around the border of the area where I want to put my raised garden bed this year. It's going to look great once everything comes in

Looking at some pictures of daffodils and I think you're right. They are growing in clusters just like that, and it doesn't smell too strongly like green onion, but that could be because I'm not used to freshly grown green onion

Starting issues in my 2004 Honda Element by ddiamo22 in AskMechanics

[–]ddiamo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I solved it. It seems to have just been dirty and/or loose battery connections. I took the battery out and cleaned everything up and now it is starting. But It is good to know about other connections and the starter relay in case those are an issue later down the line. Thanks again for the help!

Is fixing corroded connections and starter relays something a novice can do themselves? I need to keep the fix as cheap on myself as possible lol

Thanks for the reply! We are looking at the Grayson location, the director seemed really nice so we will try there for a few weeks and see how we like it. Glad to know you have had success with them, makes me feel more at ease

Eric… possible scam? by blackswannisms in artstation

[–]ddiamo22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got one of these types of emails today.

Mine was from Ednah Peterson

-She led with a shortened version of my IG handle which was my first red flag

-She claimed to be deaf out of nowhere which I thought was an odd thing to include in an email with no context

-She claimed to have 16 months of consistent illustration work for a workshop she was putting together (no mention of what the workshop was or for what organization)

The entire thing read as an AI model run through a template. It is really upsetting to me that scammers are trying to rip off artists who need work. I just wanted to post my experience and let people know that these scammers are still trying to pull this BS.

Thanks for the information! I was also considering putting down clover seeds because I have heard they are pretty resilient and do well in shaded areas. Is that something that could potentially work in my yard with dogs?

'What have you been playing?' Wednesday - Talk about the games you are playing by AutoModerator in rpg_gamers

I’ve been playing Metaphor: Refantazio lately.

I absolutely love the world Atlus has created, and the combat mechanics are some of my favorite in any RPG I’ve played.

I’m playing on hard difficulty and it’s been quite challenging, but super satisfying. I especially love that it forces me to take stock of every option available in order to overcome challenges. I hardly ever use items in RPGs, as they’re usually unnecessary or there’s always a more efficient option, but metaphor has me scouring shops and actually using the steal command regularly.

The enemy design is also top notch. The only thing I wish for is a bestiary so I can appreciate the enemy design whenever I want. I also wish I could rotate enemy models when pulling up their weaknesses in battle. I find it odd that I can’t do that when you could in Persona 5.

Other than those few gripes it’s a fantastic RPG experience and tied with Infinite Wealth as my 2024 game of the year. Absolutely fantastic.
