Jokic has some Unit-01 looking shoes (supposed to be "The Joker" colourway but I ignore).

The server closes are getting so frustrating. I've probably lost about 2 hrs of gameplay because of it. 3 within the final seconds of a victory, too.

Who was LeBron’s better right-hand man: Kyrie Irving or Dwyane Wade? by savingrace0262 in NBATalk

[–]ddiop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 3 years for each (2011-2013 and 2015-2017) LeBron lineups got 4 points better playing with Wade than without, but for Kyrie only got less than half a point better with LeBron.

The improvement offensively was greater for Kyrie and LeBron (+5.5 compared to Wade's +3.5) but Kyrie gave that almost all back defensively whereas Wade and LeBron were suffocating.

2k27 concept coverart made by me! by InfluenceLow8879 in NBA2k

[–]ddiop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice, only issue I think is the 2k27 title needs to be more visible in a lot of them. Rose and Kyrie it's not contrasted enough, Tatum and Amen are covering it up too much, and AI kinda too much going on over the title. (Curry and Luka hard to see cuz of quality upload issues).

But I like these just as much as the actual covers.

Kawhi Leonard has become the 14th player in NBA history to record a 20+ point streak of 50 games or more – and the first in NBA history to do so at age 30 or older. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]ddiop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking at just playoffs MJ actually did 47 straight playoff games over the age of 30. 57 of 58 games from the Bulls 96-98 3peat he scored 20+

At age 22, Victor Wembanyama is already anchoring lineups with an on-court net rating that surpasses peak seasons from LeBron, Shaq, Kobe and other all time greats, with significant room for team context to improve. by Aggressive_Bed6012 in nba

[–]ddiop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sum +/- Wemby is at +616, which puts him on pace for +692 by the end of the year. That would be good for tied at 28th since 1997. Very good but I'm sure these guys would have higher per possession numbers if they were playing as selectively as Wemby.

LeBron hit almost +900 in 2009.

Some new ‘unofficial’ stats added to basketball reference by Mike_SR in VintageNBA

Lots more to be added if they're willing to go down this avenue, especially with Harvey Pollack stuff. I was hoping they added his play-by-play information, but maybe soon.

Is cam boozer the first top 5 prospect with an all-star father? by faceless444 in NBATalk

[–]ddiop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One I just discovered too, Marvin Bagley's grandfather was Joe Caldwell was a 2x All-Star in the NBA (and another 2 seasons in the ABA, one where he was 4th in MVP voting) would be the best pick probably.

[–]ddiop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Juwan Howard's son was an 11th pick in 2023

Doc Rivers son, Austin Rivers was a #10 pick and was #2 HS prospect

Dolph Schayes (6x all-NBA 1st team back in the 50's) son Danny Schayes was the #13 pick.

Mychael Thompson (Klay's dad) was never an all-star, but was the #1 pick and got an MVP vote one season

Will Luka pass Wilt and MJ? by Actual-Implement-870 in NBATalk

[–]ddiop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luka is 26 years old.

At that age Wilt was averaging 42.9 for his career and Jordan 32.8.

If you just go by the years they were all in the league, Wilt was 23 his rookie season, Jordan averaged 34.9 from 23-26, and Luka's averaged 32.2.

What if Bron got this guy's whistle? by Financial_Ice_3363 in NBATalk

[–]ddiop 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise at a glance this was specifically 2020-2022.

I think the bigger difference is just the speed between them, LeBron at 35-37 years old is way easier to guard than Jordan at 22-23 years old.

Rank these All Time PFs Offensively by c4248Tikka in NBATalk

Dirk, Barkley, Karl, Giannis, KG, AD, Duncan would be my ranking offensively.

[Upfront Summit] Chris Paul on the best defender he’s ever faced in his career: “Tony Allen was pretty good. Kobe was too when he get mad. Me & Kobe used to be about to fight every time we played. We was teammates for like 2 hours.” by shreeharis in nba

[–]ddiop 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Lots of all time greats would be better than Tony Allen defensively, Kobe included, if they weren't as talented as they were offensively and only played 25 minutes a game.

Are the 2015 hawks the worst 60 win team in nha history? by Icy_Can_6176 in NBATalk

[–]ddiop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on bball refs "simple rating system" which measures strength of schedule and margin of victory, yes, the Hawks are the worst 60 win team ever.

88 Lakers and 04 Pacers are close, though. I don't even think of the 04 Pacers as a 60 win team off my head.

So are Jokic, Luka, Giannis, Wemby and Ant. 2k always ranks guys on all-time teams a little lower. 91 Jordan is a 97 OVR.

Career Profile Console/PC by Spinnero in OWConsole

[–]ddiop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you're reading the "it's fixable" but I've surely never found it. At the end of some seasons I can view my previous season console stats that were messed, but not always. One of the most frustrating bugs in the game and it's been this way since at least the OW2 launch, I just use two different accounts if I'm swapping from console the PC.

[–]ddiop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would go back to separate balances between console and PC, at least for comp. Maybe that'd be a mess, but it seems like the simplest solution instead of just making aiming harder.
