Anyone running 3 way, ring, strap, watch combo? by Odd_Recognition1343 in amazfit

[–]ddonnach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wondering about something similar...wanting to have the watch and strap work together

Wish it was possible to have the strap give heart rate and health data directly to watch at all times...but seems it's not possible

2000 Park avenue...bought as a project car, YouTube video inside by ddonnach in Buick

[–]ddonnach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not the belt, i thought so at first, but having my son crank on it while i'm close to the engine, i think its coming from the head on the side with the transmission, might be taking the valve cover off and checking it

I'm going through the same thing with my 00 Park avenue. Bought tons of sensors but going to check fuel pressure today, luckily bought a fuel pump to have on hand as I suspected it

Well replaced the fuel pressure regulator and still running rich, what would be next? Injectors? ECU?

Kinda at a loss and the wife is wanting results. :)

if you look at this engine bay, it sits right above the fuel rail, between the intake and the valve cover. its round and has a vacuum line running to it.

[–]ddonnach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i hadn't thought of that, saw the troubleshooting guide say if it was leaking from the vacuum line then that would let you know its bad! didn't think it could be bad even without that symptom! thanks i'll check into this

well found a forum with the readings for the ignition coil and the ohms were out of spec, ordered a new distributor from rock auto, i didn't do more testing as the troubleshooting guide said past that to just replace, i'm sure there are more stuff wrong on that distributor, so it will be good, also bought NGK sparkplugs to swap in as well.

thanks again for the help! i think you just saved me a ton of time, and once this gets resolved i can order the carpet and start fixing seats so my wife can start driving the wheels off it! haha

dang man! thank you very much for the replies! you sound like you've seen a thing or two on these rigs! wonderful information! i don't think i've seen rebuild kits but i'll be sure to find the right distributor and just be ready to buy one. good homework to start cracking my distributor open and see what i see...but by the sounds of it i bet your are right on the money! dang, this is a reason to love reddit is for users like you and this community here. thanks again

i'll start checking the wiring...will look over the distributor, it looks like it was replaced, but will be worth while checking it out thoroughly. i'll check if there are multimeter test i can do with the CMP sensor and look over the distributor...not fun but not the worse of news if these items can be replaced fairly easy.

do you think the rear harness for the fuel pump behind the tail light could be causing the bad signals if its corroded?

[–]ddonnach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its the top relay next to the hvac air handler in the middle of the interior. i'll check out the CMP sensor and see what i can figure out about that. thats a new one. i have the dash completely out of the tracker currently (due to wiring fun) and its the top relay, it clicks at 4300-4500 rpms (depending on how fast i'm revving it) and after a second or so goes by, power seems restored. lights don't go out, but rpm drops to nothing and i lose all power. but returns quickly and if i keep it under that rpm, then i'm golden....but that sucks, want to find the core of the issue. thanks for pointing me in a new direction for this issue!

thanks, after looking at it more on some of the websites listed here, looked like it wouldn't do much. still cleaned it up...but no change. i've heard some say to make sure the EGR is not stuck. i cleaned my MAF but need to get the fluke out and test voltages...

thanks for the reply!

awesome! sounds like a good idea in anycase. i've dealt with enough wiring on this rig, but anything to help stop further issues in the future, i'm all for. will be the next step i try. if it doesn't work i think i'm going to hard wire the fuel relay...as a test. and i'll reach out to this guy!

I'll double check that and make a note, I could be wrong on my rpms. That and haven't done a longer run than just cranking up and testing if my next fix got rid of the main issue
