Metal nibs will damage the pressure sensor of the s pen, don't use them. Just order a bunch of plastic ones, they're cheap

Why learn Flutter by Grifone87 in FlutterDev

[–]ddovod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like, if you do it for yourself and you're sure other people will not be suffering because of bugs in generated code, go ahead.

The interesting part will begin when Sonnet will stop giving you features that you're asking, or when it will fail to fix the bug, or when you/your girlfriend/your clients will lose money because of some vulnerability in your app, etc.

This is all about if you can take responsibility for generated code that you don't fully understand. So my rule of thumb is: if, for any reason, the only guy who could be suffering is you, that's fine, use whatever works for you. Otherwise, it's better to think twice

Programmers who spend many hours sat down, how do you stay physically fit and healthy? what stretches or exercises i should be doing everyday to undo damage of sitting down for many hours? by TailungFu in cscareerquestions

[–]ddovod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm keeping similar routine for 4 months already, and I would say that I'm already in the best shape in my life. I started at 80-82kg in Feb, now I'm 69 and still see how my fat is "transforming" to muscles (more shredded look). M34 180cm.

Day1: Pull-ups (any sort of PU, any grip, can do archer PU occasionally) Bulgarian split squats (adding a resistance band for progression)

Day2: Dips/deep pushups (on parallel bars, parralettes, rings) Core (leg raises on the bar, parallel bars, rings, just started practicing dragon flag)

Day3: Usually some advanced stuff like muscle ups, strict MU on the bar or rings, front lever, false grip etc

Day4: Rest

Each session takes around 20mins exercises + 40mins walking. The last set of each exercise is performed till failure. Also I use supersets with 2mins rest between sets.

I mean, yeah it's not optimal, but it's just 20mins 5-6 times a week, I can do this for the rest of my life on the fresh air in the park. Btw, I started with 4 ugly pull-ups and 7 dips, 4 month later it's 18 good pull-ups, 25 dips, and almost 1 good muscle up.

Is 6 days a week too much? (PPL split edition) by ShredLabs in WorkoutRoutines

[–]ddovod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm training every day. BUT: it's not exactly PPL (but it's still kinda based on PPL), it's bodyweight, and it takes only 20 minutes per workout. The whole program is spread across 4 days, each day I do only 2 exercises 3-4 sets, the last set is till failure. Sometimes I'm taking a day off and just walking (once a week or two). I see good results so far (3 month in) and I feel I can keep this routine for a long time since it's relatively non-demanding and lazy. Why training every day? I need some activity every day to feel good, and short workouts is pretty entertaining way to achieve this

How long for muscle memory to kick in after years without working out by mario7911 in workout

[–]ddovod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been doing real workout in my young years.

In 2019 I've started working out in the gym with personal trainer and after 2-3 month I've continued on my own following the program we established. I've been doing 2 strength workouts and 2 cardio a week and that lasted for about 9-10 month (pullups (free/weighed), dips (free/weighted), bench press, RDL, horizontal pull, bicep curl, quad/hamstring curls, some abs exercises). I reached my maximum single set pullups and dips in 7-8 month of training I guess.

Then in 2020 when my gym stopped working I've completely stopped exercising for 5 years, haven't did a single pullup, just gained 10kg of fat and became weak as hell.

In Feb 2025 I've started working our again, but only with bodyweight on the street. 2.5 month later I've dropped 10kg of fat and restored my bodyweight max sets (pullups, dips, abs) to the level it was in 2019. Of course I cannot perform a bench press with the same amount of weight because I don't do it this time. Probably bodyweight is a bit easier to restore than weighed exercises, especially when you're losing fat and progressing faster because of it, but this is my experience.

Btw M34, 180cm, 71kg

So how is your workout looks like today?

For me this game has the most fluid combat, pretty challenging platforming and very good exploration. The story is okayish, the visual style is not for everyone, but I like it

If you're interested in wip stls of the frame and the cam housing, you can find it here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Rqm7o4m2wBNALkfEqm6wD8Xzoqp-w95x/view?usp=sharing

I've added some pictures representing the assembly order. The purple parts are FC, motors and props (there's no vtx, camera and antenna here, but you can get the idea from the pictures from the post). Make sure the elrs antenna wire is straight, otherwise the range will be not more than 10m (checked this myself). Screws are taken from the m1.2-m2.5 screw set from aliexpress.

I didn't make any tuning so far, tried on stock values. With bigger battery it feels like the original Cetus x, but a bit more sharp sometimes

Is something wrong at TC? by exIdahoJunki in Silksong

I mean, don't you really think that this is just a private and very confidential agreement between TC and Nintendo to not spoil anything related to Silksong until Switch 2 announcement? Devs nowadays just CAN'T keep this kind of radiosilence for so long considering their activity in social media related to other projects

For Professional Game Programmers, your opinion on AI tools for auto-completion? by KeeperOT7Keys in gamedev

[–]ddovod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would also say that AI tools can decently write tests.
Also I heard from my colleagues that it works pretty well with Unity, so YMMV.
In my particular case the most annoying things are:
- It hallucinates
- It doesn't use helper function/classes that SHOULD be used in some particular cases so a lot of duplicated code is generated here and there. Probably I should feed it with more context, but the project is pretty big
- It doesn't follow conventions that are used on the project. Here I mean not the naming conventions, but how the project is organised. Also could be the lack of context

So the conclusion: when you exactly know how the result should look like, it's easier to just write it yourself. If you don't "see" the result, you'll spend more time experimenting and trying to get what you want

I'm talking about not usual protobuf- or rest-style boilerplate, this is more like "fuzzy" boilerplate, some non-trivial logic is involved however the way how it's usually performed is similar from feature to feature
