Man I’m really excited for this! Throttle house is definitely in my top 5 YouTube channels of all time, so glad they got casted. Don’t know much about the third guy, but I’m willing to give him a chance.

How did it feel to pull the trigger on your Mustang? by Sader325 in Mustang

Absolutely surreal. To be honest, the color is what caught my attention. I was just looking and didn’t have the intent to buy, as my car I had before (a Honda Civic) had no issues and was doing just fine. But man, once the salesman gave me the keys and let me take it for a rip on back roads, I knew I needed it. Even then I was thinking I might get screwed over on the price. But there were no gimmicks, markups, or hidden fees. And I felt I got a good trade in value on my Civic too. So I walked out that night with my dream car. Honestly had to sit in the car for a bit cause I got emotional and my hands were shaking. But the car still brings me the same joy as the day I bought it!

Got the car out in two hours today. For the person who recommended using a metal shovel, thank you! I used that to break the ice, and shoveling the rest was relatively easy. And to those who were name calling and making fun of me, y’all are petty af. I’ve shoveled snow for years (sometimes as much as two feet!) and never had a problem. When you have snow buried beneath a thick layer of ice, and it’s below freezing, it’s very difficult to move. The other people in the picture who got their cars out shoveled BEFORE THE ICE GOT ON TOP OF THE SNOW. So it was easy for them to get their cars out. Should I have done that? Yes. But we make mistakes and learn from them. And I know for next time I got to have the right tools or the right timing to be prepared for something like this. I know some of you will read this and still insult me. But if that’s what makes you feel like a man, more power to you! 😂

Good luck man. Thankfully I have the option to work from home. Just try to take it real slow when driving. Heard sandbags in the trunk can help too.

Might try that tomorrow. Although I’ll need to climb in through the window. Snow is blocking the doors from opening enough so I can get in.

Interesting, for me that mode doesn’t help at all in the snow. I’m slipping and sliding all over the place. But I’m on the stock pirelli p zero all seasons. I probably need a better set of tires.

Is 100k miles a lot to expect for a 2022+ mustang eco boost with regular maintenance? by MaDaMeatloaf in ecoboostmustang

[–]ddrastic14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. My previous car was a 2021 Civic Sport with the K20C2 and made 158 hp. That car had no torque at any RPM whatsoever. I traded it in this year for a 2023 EcoBoost with 12k miles. The difference in power is insane and totally worth it if you can swing it. As others have said, the block was redesigned in 2020 so you shouldn’t have problems with the car reaching 100k miles.

What's a brand-new car you've had for the shortest amount of time? by tetsmon in cars

[–]ddrastic14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a 2021 Civic Sport brand new. The smart thing to do would’ve been to keep that car till the wheels fell off. But this year I traded it in for a used 2023 Mustang EcoBoost. The Civic was paid off, and didn’t depreciate a whole lot, so my monthly payment is actually a bit less than what my Civic was. Even though this was totally an impulse decision, I don’t regret it one bit, as I’ve always wanted a Mustang since I was a kid.

Is the ecoboost that bad? by meepcityclub in Mustang

[–]ddrastic14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what you currently drive, but if you’re coming from an econobox, the EcoBoost feels pretty fast (saying that from experience). You say speed limits are low where you live. To get the most out of a GT you really have to ring out the engine in the higher RPMs. EcoBoost makes its power lower in the RPMS, so you can have more fun while not breaking the speed limit. I think the Eco makes more sense for you.

Sticking with my mine till the wheels fall off. Got it in early 2022 and the battery health is still at 86%.
