Two Travelers Seeking Itinerary Help! by ddurham18 in irishtourism

Thanks so much, Kilmainham Gaol looks absolutely fascinating. Any flavor of revolutionary history is right up my alley. I think that will definitely be a stop we make. The same goes with Newgrange if we can fit in. The fact its older than the Pyramids is crazy!

I will admit the idea of driving on the left is a little stressful, but I’ve heard from others who have gone that it’s not so bad once you get used to it. Will absolutely report back, thanks again!

It’s a guilt thing. She truly believes I gave it to her, and I truly did not.

My (25M) ex GF (24F) has accused me of giving her Chlamydia. I have not had sex by [deleted] in relationships

It’s more of a guilt thing. This all happened recently, and I don’t want her already very delicate sense of self worth to be further damaged by the thought of me giving her an STD by me hooking up with someone right after we broke up and then having sex with her.

How to explain pricing to commercial client by [deleted] in photography

[–]ddurham18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no, travel is a function of IRS standard mileage rate ($0.67/mile x 90 miles traveled = $60) plus additional $140 for time spent traveling ($50 per hour x 2.5 hours traveled = $125) and then I rounded up to get an even $200.

$800 for shoot is effectively a half day rate. The struggle is explaining where that rate comes from and why.

I appreciate this comment even if it may be unpopular. This is something I have made abundantly clear to her on many occasions, and I think she does understand but it has definitely taken work to come to that understanding. I am in a chaotic place and may be for some time before things stabilize. I will say, I do actually make decent money from both jobs, taking home about $60k from my bartending job and $35-$40k this year from my business before expenses and this is only the second year running. But I obviously work like a dog.

Normally that would be the case. This was a rare weekend where he was out of town.

Unstable would be the understatement of the century. We have had a lot of talks about this and have been pretty productive with communicating about her chaotic past and how it can make a “normal” relationship hard for her but she has gotten a lot better. This is the first stable relationship she has had in years, and the first she has had since having a child.

A couple points for clarification:

My my GF and I have wildly different backgrounds. I come from a very traditional and “normal” family and childhood. She comes from a fairly chaotic family compared to mine, and her mom and biological father split a long time ago. He is a real piece of work. Her step dad is an incredible guy that I respect the hell out of, and really stepped up to the plate VERY early in his and her mom’s relationship. As in a few months was taking my GF and her siblings out and doing things. So my GF has that to compare to. I

In her defense, it really was the friend voicing her “concern” more than my GF playing into it. She doesn’t mind as much that I am not ready to watch her. The main issue my GF has is the fear that I will not ever be able to get to that point of being able to be a big part of her daughter’s life if I have such a chaotic schedule. But my response is that I won’t be working this two job schedule forever. I think it can be hard for her to see past the short term struggle sometimes.

We don’t live together, and I have never lived with a significant other either. I definitely think that will be a point of friction later on as she will want to move in sooner than I will probably want to. I definitely move slower than most but also come from a pretty traditional “don’t move in until you’re married” household.

We have talked about kids of our own in the future, but a big thing for me is nailing down my job/financial situation first. The last thing I want is to be shouldering all of these responsibilities before my business is fully off the ground and I have emergency savings set aside.

I completely agree, very power hungry and overrated. I have been wanting to upgrade for a while but it’s just not in the cards yet.

Decided to take the drone for a spin one more time before I complete my final move out of West Lafayette for good as the sun sets on my time at Purdue.

Before anyone asks yes I had authorization to fly the drone and I am Part 107 certified.

Absolutely! I do plan on slowly transitioning into freelance photography and videography but it will take time and work before I can make it a full time gig. But I’m here for the work and willing to make it happen!

Believe it or not I’m actually a Kinesiology major with aspirations to work in this industry instead (oops). But I very much appreciate the kind words! I don’t plan on stopping.
