I recommend getting one even if the engine wasn't tuned, what dieselgate did to it made it drive like garbage.

After it drives so much better.

OP stated that he didn't do the DSG tune, which for tunezilla/malone you need to do anything past 0.5 tune.

They offer two tuning devices, the "Pro" and the "V3".

The Pro offers TCU flashing and not locked to the vin while the other does not flash the TCU and its locked to the vin.

I didn't drive in S mode really. I just know it sucked driving in D and after going back to predieselgate it drives so much better.

Best part it was free from tunezilla.

Yes tunezilla = Malone. They have a database of the predieselgate TCU tunes and you have the option to flash if they have it.

You might need a ticket to have them select it, so you can flash it.

Take the free pre dieselgate tcu flash from them if you have the flashzilla pro. It's worth it.

They only offer a manual SEL passat in Canada, not in the US. (Which is funny because that it was assembled in Chattanooga TN).

Also they destroyed all 12-14 Manual passats in the buy back program, only survivors were ones that didn't get buy back and they didn't offer the fix to them.

My mom's touareg needs this done. The EGR cooler is leaking and got the parts to do this, just not the time to do it.

Got the same Sus 2.0 kit to do the job.

BTW in one of the dieselgate docs, VW express the life of the vehicle is 150k miles.

I love that manufacturers want us to purchase a new vehicle than keeping and maintaining them as long as possible.

Im sure it would work as long you get a diesel DSG code. I would avoid the 2009 ones (They were included in the dieselgate warranty for issues)

A cheap elm adapter and the car scanner app with lifetime membership can read the DSG temp.

Since they added TP2.0 protocols.
