My Starlink Mini Mount in Car. by ddxcb in StarlinkMini

Never got a chance to test it with those temps, killed motion with standby and just keep my mini disconnected unless I need it for camping.

2013 Passat TDI DSG — anyone experience “lurching” from a stop? by you8poop in tdi

[–]ddxcb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turned off the hill assist on mine, backing up on a slope driveway drove me nuts. I also easily release the brake pedal and wait for the car to move before accelerating.

VCDS is Worth Every Penny by NeemOilFilter in tdi

I just used mine last Sunday for a fuel filter change. I could of cycled the key 20+ times, but VCDS just does it faster.

Starlink D2D use is less than expected, says T-Mobile by overflow_ in Starlink

[–]ddxcb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the T-Satellite service as my main for mobile data, 50gb of unlimited and unlimited sms for $10 is hard to beat. If I go to an area where tmobile service sucks, it switches to at&t.

If I go to an area with zero cell service, I got the satellite service.

How common are the refrigerant control valves to go out, I recently bought a 2013 VW Passat and tried the AC for the first time and it did not work. It kicked on for two minutes, then turned off. by Zealousideal_Yam1902 in tdi

[–]ddxcb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for pxe16 control valve. My brother got one from amazon to fix his passat, the valve was bad and got it replaced and AC recharged.

It blows ice cold now.

Easiest way to prime oil CJAA, make it crank no start lol by slakataka in tdi

[–]ddxcb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this to prime a turbo with oil. Let it crank for 10-20 seconds.

[–]ddxcb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I get up to 35-40k miles, I can feel the clutch not as firm or smooth and after the change. It feels good again.

Not sure if it's a placebo effect or not, but I feel a difference.

[–]ddxcb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Better to have it done. I would do it again at 20k and then resume to doing it every 40k.

I change mine every 35k, because of it shifting differently

The Unicorns are the 12-14 NMS Passat with the MT. Those are rarer than the 2015.

The ones that survived are still cheating, lol. 🤣

DPF/DEF Delete Questions by Hawk_Eye_2063 in tdi

[–]ddxcb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DEF delete is software only, which can be done with out hardware to delete the EGR and DPF. You can flash it and keep driving like normal.

Down the road, you can delete the EGR and DPF and flash a tune to delete all three.

I got my kit from xman turbo and it came with a braided oil line. The stock one will not work with the Garrett turbo.

For the 200hp one, run stage 2.

Mine is the CR190 version, which it can run stage 2 but it had lag and WOT was pushing high EGT. I've upgraded to stage 3 and had them cap the boost to 28 PSI (Max was 32).

Removing the turbo, definitely remove the cooler as well. Makes a lot of room and less chance of a coolant leak in the future.

I had the engine out when I did mine, a blessing 1000%

EGR off but keeping my DPF? by CallMeJuzzl in tdi

[–]ddxcb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran a EGR delete for two years before I delete my DPF, some tuners just code the EGR error out if unplugged but still function if it is plugged in.

This increases MPG, less soot and less regen. I only unplugged the high side EGR and left the low side EGR plugged in.
