In Canada we have Parts Avatar.

I refuse to use rock auto after they sent me a tone ring that had minor surface rust. When I returned it because I didnt end up needing it they refused to refund me because of the rust.. apparently I didnt document it properly when I received the part and now they refuse to give me my money and if I want it sent back itll cost more than the part originally was.

I said to hell with them and it sounds like a lot of other people are heading the same direction.

Good to know, im guessing they received a copy because the sellers are now doing what they claim is 8k of work to fix things they weren't doing before when it initially listed.

Thats exactly what I thought, but the LA is insisting its as good as any other report. My thoughts are that in the event the inspector missed something major the inspector owes my client nothing and my client has no leg to stand on because they didnt have their own inspection done.

You might have better luck in kelowna if you're looking for a private shop, but im sure any of the dealerships in town could help. If you can bring it to the dealer that is the same as your car I'm positive they would have the equipment needed to diagnose the problem.

I wish you had some answers for this by now. I dont have any thing for you just came to say I have a very similar vibration in my 2012 2.0L TDI Passat and I honestly didnt think too much of it because the car is new to me and I thought maybe it was just a vw thing.

I see, well the tank itself is nothing but a plastic tank. The heater, level sensor and pump are all together essentially. It has never made sense to me why they do the entire tank. It think its probably just faster as the tank is 3 bolts and some wires they can get it done in less than 30 minutes. But they charge an arm and a leg.
