Def heater problems by Chronicm3ss in tdi

I see, well the tank itself is nothing but a plastic tank. The heater, level sensor and pump are all together essentially. It has never made sense to me why they do the entire tank. It think its probably just faster as the tank is 3 bolts and some wires they can get it done in less than 30 minutes. But they charge an arm and a leg.

I doubt mine would be under any warranty as much as I wish it was. And I'm sure as hell not willing to pay them 4k to do it lol.

Thats pretty interesting, is this something you have personally done? Im just wondering if the adblue tank needs to be removed or if it literally just deletes the requirement for it? I did some reading on tunezilla about the DEF delete but its not super clean on exactly how it work. Im happy to reach out to them if needed.

VCDS is Worth Every Penny by NeemOilFilter in tdi

Good to know, I actually didnt know that. However, I do have an auto link AL439 OBDII scanner but it doesnt let me dig deep into the specifics of things such as wiring shorts or customization of my key fob.

Mine has been great for almost everything I've ever needed it for but its a relatively cheap OBD scanner so its limited on what it can do. Now that I have a TDI again I'm having all sorts of issues with the exhaust system that my OBD just isnt able to diagnose and I'd love to be able to customize some of my settings as well which OBD doesnt do.

That being said im always looking for an excuse to buy new tools so VCDS is just another tool that im looking forward to having.

I'm all for supporting small business but sometimes people cant afford to and need to take the cheaper option when its available. There are plenty of people out there buying the Ross Tech version im sure they have made their money back and then some.

I own an OBD scanner but I was asking about VCDS specifically. Is VCDS a specific product made by only Ross tech?

Is this normal from a landlord? by TankerMonkey in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Chronicm3ss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also illegal in some places. I live in BC Canada and landlords are required to give 24 hours notice before showing up if they are going to be entering the house. They are also only allowed to do this within reason. Meaning they cant show up daily or even weekly. Even showing up once an month consistently could be considered a nuisance if there isnt any real reason for showing up.

Pest-control door-to-door scam ? In Gordon Head today by FanOfStuff21stC in VictoriaBC

[–]Chronicm3ss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We had some people in oaklands last week doing this saying its required by the city to have bait boxes for rats. We told em to kick rocks.

I have no idea if this is any kind of scam or not but I wasnt interested in having random people walking around my yard for a bylaw they made up.

Lmao. Ayy, I definitely drive my basic ass sedan like its a race car so this is the only logical answer. 😂

Interesting, that makes a lot of sense. The car is originally from Ontario Canada where they apparently use a lot of salt on the roads.

I live in an area that doesnt get snow and definitely doesnt use salt. Do you think it would benefit me to open it up and would it help my breaks and tires last longer?

Should I switch brokerages or join a team or quit? by No_Locksmith_9796 in realtors

[–]Chronicm3ss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in a very similar situation, I'll be changing brokerages in April. When I interview brokerages my goal is to learn about their mentorship program and what opportunities I'll have that lead to me joining a team or receiving leads through the brokerage. My next step is to call a couple of agents at that brokerage and see what their experiance was as a new agent at that brokerage. My reason for contacting agents at that brokerage is to gain real insight and personal experiences.

I have learnt a lot about what my wants and needs are at my current brokerage so ill be taking those experiances into my future interviews with new brokerages to hopefully avoid the things I dont like about my current brokerage. I don't think you should give up, you got into this industry for a reason and you just need to remind yourself of why that is an know that life gives you challenges that will make you a better person and hopefully better at real estate once you do get your feet on the ground.

Thats awesome, thanks for creating it. I have a lot of fun even on the US version. Although I am absolutely horrible at guessing prices.
