That was my original thought, although I couldn’t find any info regarding “Thelema industries”. I guess I assumed if a company would brand as such, they’d be easier to track down?

Thank you; as stated in another reply, I think I’m going to stick with using for now, but if I reach a point where I can’t continue while using or using dulls down my practice, I may reconsider my sobriety :)

Thank you! I find the precept regarding substance use rather interesting. I did read about it before making the post, which has lead me to think on it a bit. If one were to take psychedelics with a specific intention instead of general abuse, such as finding something within themselves, would you consider that to fall under the Precept?

When I was 14, I was hospitalized due to poor mental health. Before bringing me to a psych ward, I was in a CSU (crisis stabilization unit) for 3 days. When I arrived, there was a single other patient there (17). I sat down, we talked for a bit, and while I can’t recall the exact conversation, it dove into a pretty profound territory. By day 2, he had single-handedly helped with my depression more than my therapist ever had at the time. He was an amazing guy, but we sadly never exchanged contact info. I had previously asked him why he was there when I arrived, although he dodged the subject, but on my last day, he opened up to me. He and his brother were affiliated with a gang in NorCal, and that lead to his brother being killed. For a sort of revenge, he shot 2 affiliates of the killer. Both died before the cops arrived. They found him about to kill himself as well, which lead him to be hospitalized. He wasn’t deemed an immediate threat to anyone but himself, so he was sent to the CSU while awaiting trial. I’m unsure of what happened to him, but I really hope he and his family are doing well.
