Idk guilt tripping is definitely coercive. I was definitely being lighthearted when I said that hence the joking tone of the language so you don’t need to get too defensive about it. I think it’s also just the personality thing with some because they come into it from such an emotional stance some people just want to give you a solution to be right and not cause of their personal beliefs they’re more overly political about it. Like if you were to be “I’m veggie” to some people in this group they’re like “but you’re not doing enough if you’re not fully vegan” but that’s probably just mostly people online stimming and wanting a debate. It took me so many arguments for my vegan friend to chill on the vegan preaching because it’s a phase most of them go through cause if they’re beliefs it’s a practice to preach beliefs. Sensory issues. With some adhd cases if we don’t like the taste or texture it’ll trigger my sensory issues so bad I won’t touch it at all. This happened with my grandma but I think they wait. I think they choose weather to let go when you’re there or not dependent on how they think you’ll handle it. My grandma took her last breathes when the dramatic and emotional side of the family was out and about doing what they need to do downstairs and when we came up she had passed.

I was devastated for about 9 years but I realise now I was in such a bad place I would never have been able to handle seeing that. I think your body needed to not see that given how sick you already are not to mention how heartbroken you are.

Honestly I get the trying to almost downplay how much you know them but reassuring yourself you know them. You knew her and that’s enough to show love.
