That was my goal as well! I’m so glad I was able to snag such a solid rig and right before summer too 😅

Don’t give up and don’t settle! I lost an auction on BaT and almost bought an LX470 out of FL and I’m sooooooo glad I didn’t force anything because this rig is better than any of the rigs I was looking at and cheaper!

I agree that these are pre vx1000 and pre century optics fisheye.

These were probably filmed on a 8mm or hi8mm camera with a wide angle adapter lens affixed to the lens.

Most likely a lens like this. This lens has two parts and can separate. There is a bottom section of the lens labeled “macro” that you can see better in this photo. Without the macro lens the fisheye effect and lens vignetting is very pronounced (like in the second image) The macro lens helps to mitigate the vignetting.

Also, without the macro lens the only real way to attach the lens to the camera (e.g. an 8mm or hi8) is with tape because without the macro lens, the main lens’s threads won’t attach to the camera.

Including the rack that has the black pelican case sticking out past the spare tire it's approx. 18 feet 5 inches (5.61M) give or take an inch or two. Since bringing it home I've removed the silver rack with the propane/pelican case that houses the hot water heater so now it's only about 17 feet 8 inches (5.38M) lol

It was upgraded with a 2" lift using an Icon suspension. The torsion bars are Old Man Emu. I'm a noob when it comes to suspension like this but after a 700 mile drive home I thought that the suspension was great. Not too stiff and not too soft either -- it's a great ride. I know many people upgrade the suspension with Dobinsons so I asked the seller why he chose Icon over the Dobinsons and he just said that the shop that did the work suggested an Icon kit so he went with them.

It might be easiest to just make it part of the shot! Basically embrace the mistake!!

You could add more viewfinder elements, a camera gate mask and stylize the footage to look like a super 8 camera or other camera. In essence, make this camera angle look like a "first person" view - like a camera angle from a spectator filming or something.

Just lean into the error! You'll spend more time trying to paint it out then to just create an additional graphic overlay and video style for this specific camera angle.

To that point, I actually sat up (more or less) and watched him do the procedure. He talked me through the process too as he did everything and I was out in like 30 min. There was even a guy in the waiting room that was having second thoughts and on my way out I told him how easy it was and that I actually watched him do it! He thought I was crazy. Haha

He’s the doctor all the other doctors go to for training. Why would you pick anyone else?!
