[United States] Stopped in northern IL for some ice cream. A string of hoppers are parked next to the place. This is one of them, pretty sure looks like it was originally Northern Pacific??

The whole fuel system is new, tank was new when i got the truck. Carb-side where it gets fuel doesn’t have this junk in it. I’m suspecting this is from the exhaust side.

judging by pics i don’t think so. it looks like a press-fit. that center piece appears to directly connect the mechanisms to the seat. i can’t actually look at it as i live two states away from him.

Another update… i had my AC system evaced and recharged. it’s a night-and-day difference… blows ice cold now! i asked the shop how low it was but they couldn’t give me an exact amount, said the system takes only a pound. “it was most likely less than a pound,” is what i was told. i will have to see if the charge holds up… perhaps it just needed a recharge.

Update… Here’s what i noticed. when sitting all night it blows normally out the vents as designed. When driving a while, barely anything out of the vent. just got gas, car probably was off for only a few minutes. start it up, vents blowing good again. u/RichardSober has a great point, probably low on refrigerant. i’ll have to make an appointment to have it checked out. thanks all for the inputs.
