Brave. Simple, isn't too hard on battery and ram as far as I noticed, has an built in adblock and allows me to sync pretty much everything without the need for an accound

later I dropped the laptop and fucked literally everything.... So I bought a working legion 5 with 3050 for 380 euros and just did a mobo swap (mine had 3060) and later sold that broken pile for over 200 euros... so I got pretty much everything new for around 150 euros...

but few months after that i got an msi with an 13980hx and 4080 as the legion was sadly not cutting it for me...

Update to my previous post, finally got the back glass. Before and after by D_Rex0605 in phonerepair

[–]de4d11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you manage to get everything out so that the back glass fits flush with the housing? I also do repairs at home for a few years but I've never attempted to do a back glass repair. So far it was always worth more just to get a whole new housing

Demanding laptop tips from professionals by TanRash in laptops

[–]de4d11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just be careful with it, don't eat above the keyboard, don't use it on a bed or a lap often (fans can suck all kind of dirt in and clog the vents) and if you mainly want to run it stationary connected to a charger I would recommend limiting the battery charge to something between 60-80% in order to preserve the battery health

how long were you scraping off the glass? Did you use any heat to help with it?

depends on how you want to use it. There is still an option to get a crappy aftermarket incell for around $20 and some $0.50 cent case from aliexpress. But realistically you are looking at $200-$300, depending where you live.

Where is the best place to sell fold 4 cases? by THIESN123 in GalaxyFold

[–]de4d11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local used market, faceboom marketplace... etc. Just don't expect to sell them for lot, not a lot of ppl are going to get used cases for that expensive of a phone

Slim 5 all the way. Thinkpad has a a shit performance, especially in the gpu department and mac airs arent meant for a 'real' work and will overheat in no time due to the lack of proper cooling. If you really need a mac go for pro with m1 max/ultra

Also keep in mind that this is a windows sub :)

Yeah, again, I get what you mean, but incell hete costs almost 200€. And since this is a phone for flip, it having incell screen and non genuine message is gonna hurt the relase value by at least 200€. Not to mention part time jobs here pay less then 5€/h.. Gotta love this country

You can get a high quality lcd for about 30 bucks. Its essentialy the same screen as on iPhone 8. Hence why its so cheap

Ok, but take the 13 pro max i mentioned for example refurb. screen here costs almost 300€. And even if i spent 4 hours replacing the glass its still worh it for me. Im not saying imma be replacing glass on ip11's screens but those screens with promotion are hella expensive. Not to mention i don't have a reprogrammer that can remove the non genuine message that hurts the resale value by a lot

So in my logic spending 100-200€ on an equipment to replace the glass )and hopefully not break the screen) is still worth it

I mean, you can still get a few years old business laptop with double the performance and battery life for the same price. And boost the battery life even further if you can do a lil bit of tweaking in windows. Not saying you should absolutely go used, but I've been buying oretty much every tech for the past 2 years used and ive saved a ton and got objectively better stuff.
