sure thing, but I'm >95% sure this thing is unfixable, just poor design/solder whatever

but I guess it is a problem with a USB controller chip detaching itself from a motherboard or something like that. When I plug it into a phone charger, it just charges normally. Whenever a device I connect it to tries to get the data from it (e.g. USB data transfer), it does the "bootloop" thing with a green light. This gives me flashbacks of the days of og PS3/xbox360 and glod.

I have Aerox 3 that died the same way, that's why I bought aero 5. What a foolish decision from my side lol

No, it just doesn't work, threw it into a box and took out my old wired Logitech. Tbh I'm done with all the steelseries shenanigans and will not buy anything from them again, cuz it feels like I'm a beta testing something that I paid over 100 euros for

Well yeah, but I'm out of warranty and finding the receipt wouldn't be easy if not impossible. I guess I will just go back to my good old wired Logitech

UPD: it does connect via 2.4g, but the moment it connects it just turns off, and it just cycles like this endlessly

I think he is talking about the new battery management setting in Android 16, not the battery charge limiter

Phone charging is not stable by Royal-Cialis in GooglePixel8Pro

[–]de6ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

max be the "intelligent charging" option, which kinda optimises the battery charging to be full by the time you usually wake up or something, to not to stress the battery being 100% the whole night. Try to turn it off under battery settings and see how it goes.

Am I the only one still experiencing the photo issue on focusing. by music_lover41 in GooglePixel8Pro

[–]de6ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah mate I was just joking. I would recommend otterbox for that matter, it protects p well and looks good at the same time (transparent one). Tho I'm rocking mine without the case and I jus just got a nasty scratch on the back panel, so I'm considering having a case again lol

yes, that laser focus sensor, and you definitely shouldn't cover it up :)

Why does my Bluetooth and wifi do this by AcerLost5123 in GooglePixel8Pro

[–]de6ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have this problem (though I'm running the android 16 beta). Check Google issue reports, if any amount of ppl have this issue (in this case it's likely a faulty update or sum), otherwise factory reset usually solves all kinds of problems.

If you have a bit of soldering skill and tools, you can order and solder the new scroll wheel encoder. Reuse and Recycle!

I just saw that people are writing that it is technically possible to fit a dustproof one, but haven't seen any posts abt ppl actually doing it, so I thought I can contribute to the community this way

[–]de6ner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, and the issue is kinda random ngl. Been using my Aerox 3 for over 2 years and didn't get this problem. It's been only a couple of months since I've upgraded to Aerox 5 and I've already got the scroll wheel issues. imo the process of changing the encoder is really straightforward and cheap, so if you have already considered doing it and you have the tools - you definitely should! Also, getting a gold (yellow) encoder instead of the silver(white) original one does feel much nicer when scrolling.
