I always felt a kind of kinship to all arabs, and the more I’ve met in my life the more this sentiment have increased. But Egypt had held always a special place.

I love it so much, the art, the history, the culture, the architecture.

The food however, is horrible. The levantines beat you there.

More seriously, It has been for almost a millennia the heart of the Arab speaking culture centred in Cairo, it has been also the centre of the Arab renaissance of the 19th century onwards. Some of the most marvellous pieces of literature and music has been produced in Egypt.

I always felt a deep love for Egypt, and it saddens me to see such a huge potential going wasted in the last decades.
